I pay my bills from the inet, almost all of them. Most companies I put in the info when its time to pay, others lock the info in their system, password protected. Anyways, will this info be saved on the computer itself?
If so, is there anyway to get the information off. I usually do this on my work computer and this computer could end up with who knows in 2 years, if not crashed!

See my thread, Free Advice, for reasons not to leave personal info on your computer.

Dear SuperMod Foul Temptress,
No information will be saved on the computer, just the website you are paying your bills.

Dngr-
I did see your post, after I posted this. Creepy, thought! So, with h2's post, which one is accurate?
I don't keep any thing saved on my computer, UNLESS its saved thru these website payments.

There's something called 'auto-complete' in the newer web browsers, but it doesn't save any information when in secure zones, nor does your web browser's cache.

With secure sites this info shouldnt be stores as cookies on your harddrive neither should the page be cached, but if you want to be sure just clean out your temporary internet files.
Autocomplete probably uses the registry to store the autocomplete info, you may want to disable it because its quite possible what ever encryption is used to protect it can be cracked.

Auto-complete is bad in general, but it doesn't save informations when in a secure connection.

I assume by "secure" you mean sites using SSL communications. ... and true indeed if so .
.... Heather, you should be safe doing what you are doing .... as the other folks said that info does not get stored for the most part. ..... your biggest concern should be "spyware" 'cause running across "secured" connections or not it (some spyware programs) CAN capture every bit of information you transmit and forward it to where ever the program is set up to forward it to.
