View Full Version : torture pictures
Collin___ 07-10-2004, 01:40 PM Everytime I try to inform you, the public, of the horrific events occurring to Falun Dafa practitioners in China (Westerners too), my threads get closed. This time, I'm trying something different. Sometimes pictures speak louder than words. Below are links to pictures of Falun Dafa practitioners that have been beaten, raped, shocked with electrical batons, etc.
Warning: Most of the pictures are graphic

Šńřü†ę® 07-10-2004, 02:43 PM I am sure that elements of the left wing establishment who so boldly proclaimed to the world that placing panties over the head of Muslim Terrorists was torture will soon but headlines on the newspapers around the world of these barbaric atrocities.
Amnesty International believes they are at serious risk of torture or ill-treatment…police ‘stop-and-search’ checkpoints have reportedly been established across the city and dozens of alleged Falun Gong practitioners have been detained...
So apparently, AI is not even fully acknowledging the barbaric atrocities and holocaust of this group in China, yet the disgusting hypocrites have the chutzpah to attack US soldiers and US policy in Iraq who defend themselves against Muslim Terrorists.

It is utterly laughable that you would feign outrage about these abuses in China since your republican neo-nazi capitalist idols have established lucrative trade arrangements w/ China which help to underwrite these abuses.
If you don't like what you see here, then remember that these abuses occurred in prisons where prisoners are forced, on pain of punishments like you see here, to make all those cheap products for Walmart..that bastion of capitalism that you defend.
Šńřü†ę® 07-10-2004, 09:27 PM Mr. Anarky, that would be like blaming Jewish Bolshevicks for creating Soviet Marxism which cost tens of millions of lives and untold suffering in the world.
The reality is that capitalism and free markets are a driving force for hope in China. Their main problem is that they do not have enough broads as a result of their idiotic reproductive system.

This is true. Since America is not going to invade China to convert it to a Capitalist society, we are doing it through buisness.

Snouter, how can you be so oblivious to the obvious? The point is that capitalism has a COZY relationship w/ the prison-slavery system in China. It's like hand in glove. It's the reason why all those people are tortured when they don't work fast enough to make all those country & western CDs that you and your ilk buy weekly at Walmart.
Zaphod Beeblebrox 07-11-2004, 05:44 AM While I absolutely detest the human rights abuses going on in China, I honestly doubt these images are what you claim they are.
The NSFW for example could very well be the victim of an traffic accident who got a catheter because of his injuries. Note the medical equipment all around him: heart monitor, IV drip, oxygen tubes in his nose...
The ones with the black toes appear to be of typical frostbyte victim, which could simply be the result of inadequate clothing during the harsh Chinese winter.
Then there are several ones that appear to be post-mortem pictures.
Again, I don't trust the Chinese government one bit when it comes to treating it's citizens humanely, but I simply don't believe the majority of these pictures is what you say it is.

Funny how these abuses (how can you call murdering political prisoners abuse?) existed long before WallMart.
If you don't like what you see here, remember these abuses take place in Cuba, China, N Korea everyday, those bastions of terror that Anarky defends.

I can understand where you are coming from but with the reasoning you are using, nothing would be legit. The pictures with the bruises on the legs, one could claim that it was a domestic dispute. The picture with the guy with the stitches on his head, one could say he was in a bar fight. One could give different reasons for each picture, but the cause of all the injuries is infact due to the abuse Falun Dafa practitioners are facing in China.

Zaphod Beeblebrox 07-12-2004, 05:56 AM Just understand that I don't deny in any way that these people are being abused by their government.
The problem is that seeing how closed China still is it's going to be (nearly) impossible, unfortunately, to do anything about it...
First, the Chinese people need to become more aware of concepts like freedom and democracy, and then the government needs to follow. Considering how things went in 1990, even though some progress has been made, it's going to take quite some time before that happens.

nah, we usually shut them down because he/she posts about 20 paragraph articles in full. If he/she would simply post parts and a link to the source, it wouldn't be a problem. That on top of the fact that he/she posts, then disappears for days, never to post in the same thread again. That is basically spam :not:

Posting a paragraph wouldn't do the articles justice and would loose the effect of what the articles are telling people.

I don't have the time to come everyday to see who replies to my posts. Besides, if there is nothing worth replying to then I don't until there is, which could take a day, a week, or a month. My threads are usually closed down within a couple of weeks any ways.
That is basically spam.
I didn't think reporting the news in THE NEWS was spam?!?

Red shine´y 08-27-2004, 02:13 AM And I though the material on ogrich.com was BAD! :(
I am convinced, after but one glance, that ogrish.com is a disgusting porno site and is a source of any awkward material like that snuff-video of throat-cut russian soldiers taken by tjetjenian partizans... Horrid, disgusting and definitelly not a proof on topic "torture victims".
I have seen real pictures though, of chinese and other ethnic dissidents slowly roting away, geting poisoned by industrial processing (unfortunatelly I cannot produce those pictures for you to see :hmm: )
It is about time that all members of the globall market distance themselves from this incarnation of Baal and, even if it means loss of profit, understand just what the rapid economical growth in post-maoistic-China is all about.
Its about slavery, nazi-style industrialism and corruption. And we all participate as consumers of cheap, chinese everyday-products!!!

Brainbuster 09-05-2004, 01:03 AM It seems like there is nothing anyone can do. This will continue due to the Chinese government resisting western forces. People like to say "oh yeah, US business will change it in time". Not going to happen. The people who administer this kind of law need to be killed, bottom line.
Forced abortion really makes me want to kill people.
Torley Wong 09-05-2004, 11:18 PM It is atrocious and makes me very sad. :(
And they don't stop with Falun Gong -- being the anti-religious practicioners they are (outside of limitations like state-controlled "churches"), they regularly abuse denominations of Christians, and those who support Tibetan Buddhism.
I read an detailed account from one Christian missionary -- I forget his name -- but they beat him bloody for singing praise songs.
Chinese Government has a historical problem with overreacting to "perceived threats". Internet porn would be another one. On the flipside, they have some priorities right in my view like harvesting of recently executed criminals's organs instead of letting those corpses go to waste (tho no doubt talk of "black market" will be interjected here), and it's a strange contradiction that on one hand, they are quite capitalist with their business logistics, and yet, they are still communist.
Very strange.
Red shine´y 09-08-2004, 06:20 AM (...)they are quite capitalist with their business logistics, and yet, they are still communist.
Very strange.
I think its about three distinct qualities, none of them even close to communistic idea of social justice known as "to everyone based on ones needs"...
1. Former maoistic goverment have nothing than its own power in its mind and executes it in deep disrespect of their people. The multicultural population of "Jung-guo" and especially oppressed ethnic minorities are considered to be livestock, a natural resource... you cannot get closer to fascism than that...
2. The central power cannot execute its power directly, without using a network of loyal and corrupted functionary.
3. South-east asia is known by "geniality" in which warlords and lawinforcement functionary conduct their cruel deeds. Its a heritage of mongol empire, the same who irradicated basis for humanism and humanity in Russia...
It has nothing to do with "comunism" besides the fact, that bolsheviks executed "dictatorship of the proletariat", in its own, asiatic manner...

It's funny how a label like "communism" can be slapped on, even when it's a regime (and that's a loaded word there) ruled by a fascist dictator. LOL.

That's an astute observation. Sometimes words aren't said when it comes to the horrors some people do unto others, or what some people do unto themselves.
Evil need not speak to be done.

Alas, labels and stigmata, where would human race be without them?... The worst thing though is all that confusement... oh dear, sometimes ppl speak out contradictions like beads on a string...---o-o-o-o-o-o-o-o---
I was born and raised in a communistic country and know just that one thing - whatever they said, they were NEVER communists or socialists, not by any standards!
I talked to my friend today about persecution of Falun-Gong practicians. It seams like the chinese executioners are driven by the same rage as the ancient tormentors of first christians, mainly in Rome.
Its very provoking to people living in slavery to see individuals, who have strenght to free themselves from captivity, not responding to this state-generated extortion. Furthermore, weakness and defensless often provokes extensive violence, especially when backed up by the system. Such is the trye nature of the system, that enhances bestiality of disturbed and sadistic "capos".
But why such exaggerated measures taken against a group of pecefull practicians of healthbringing gests and mental controll? Maybe the regime feels threatened by sheer signs of open insubordination. Maybe they just need to see, that they can be hurt and killed, just like in Rome...
Anyway, its gross.
Now, thats not what Kon-fu-tsy meant by perfect society, a reflexion of divine harmony on earth... Everyone knowing his place, respecting each other...
Globalhights 09-18-2004, 10:29 AM Such horrendous acts should be condemned, and those responcible be brought to justice for their crimes.

(Clearwisdom.net) Under Jiang Zemin's orders to, "physically destroy" Falun Gong, Falun Gong practitioners have suffered many kinds of torture. All the tortures were used to augment the spiritual persecution in order to force Falun Gong practitioners to give up their practice and write the "three statements" (Guarantee Statement, breaking away statement, criticizing statement), and give up their beliefs.

Zhen-Shan-Ren 12-04-2004, 08:19 AM For the past four months, the bright yellow banners emblazoned “Stop the Persecution,” and “Truth, Compassion, Tolerance,” the smiling Chinese ladies passing out newspapers, the shockingly accurate tableaux of torture methods have become familiar sights on New York street corners.
Last weekend thousands of Falun Gong practitioners from several dozen countries paraded down Madison Avenue, showing both the beauty of the exercises and the horror of the methods of suppression.
Despite reports form every major human rights organization, despite numerous resolutions condemning the persecution from the U.S. Congress, despite lawsuits in 20 countries indicting Communist Party leaders for torture and genocide, it seems the majority of the world’s population has never heard of Falun Gong and is unaware of the persecution.
Falun Gong, a meditation and exercise practice banned in China when its popularity exceeded that of the Chinese Communist Party, has been bearing the full weight of the Party’s oppressive fist for the past five years. Millions have been arrested, incarcerated without trial, beaten and tortured. Nobody knows exactly how many people have been killed because they practiced these peaceful exercises.

Collin___ 01-09-2005, 11:45 AM In April 2001, when Zhang Buyuan and a fellow practitioner transferred Falun Gong truth clarification materials to Changchun City, the taxi driver reported them to the police and they were detained at Changchun City's Tiebei Detention Center. Zhang Buyuan staged a hunger strike to protest the persecution and was violently forced-fed. Several female criminal inmates held down her hands and feet, pinched her nose, placed a toothbrush between her teeth, and another inmate pressed her knee on Zhang Buyuan's chest. Zhang Buyuan was thus forced-fed a mixture of steamed bun crumb or corn flour with large amounts of salt and soup. (Please see picture 1)

Zhen-Shan-Ren 01-12-2005, 07:45 PM The inhuman and sadistic nature of the persecution is exemplified in the sexual abuse suffered by Falun Gong practitioners at the hand of Chinese authorities. The forms of sexual torture include rape, molestation, shocking genitals with electric batons, raping Falun Gong practitioners with foreign objects (including toilet brushes and batons), shoving hot peppers into vaginas, pinching genitals or nipples even to the point of tearing them off, kicking genitals, piercing nipples with hot irons, stripping practitioners naked and beating them, forcefully administering drugs that cause menstruation to cease, and more. The victims of such sexual abuse include young, unmarried women and seniors.

Zhen-Shan-Ren 01-12-2005, 07:48 PM Numerous reports have emerged from China of police and labour camp authorities burning Falun Gong practitioners with cigarettes, car lighters, irons, and hot metal rods as a way to force them to give up their belief. Sometimes, hot irons are heated to be red-hot, then used to burn practitioners' flesh or pierce their nipples. Many have reported being burned repeatedly with cigarettes, including on their faces, necks, and genitals.

Zhen-Shan-Ren 01-19-2005, 09:26 PM Electric batons are among the most commonly used torture instruments employed by police officers and jail guards in persecuting Falun Gong practitioners. They use electric batons that carry voltages as high as 300,000 volts to shock practitioners' sensitive areas, including the mouth, center of the palms, center of the bottom of the feet, genitals, chest, neck, and breasts. Sometimes they use several electric batons simultaneously to shock practitioners. The labour camp authorities often pour water on the practitioners to intensify the electric shocks. Some police also use a homemade electric shocking device; it resembles a masonry brick in size and shape, and it carries a much higher voltage than regular electric batons. The skin will break open and bleed in every place that receives a shock from this device.
Gao Rongrong, 36, tortured with electric batons for seven consecutive hours
In July 2003, Gao Rongrong was sent to the Longshan Forced Labour Camp because she made peaceful appeals to the government to end the persecution of Falun Gong. During her detention, Ms. Gao had been beaten by camp officials, according to sources familiar with her case.
At approximately 3:00 p.m. on May 7, 2004, Tang Yubao, the deputy head of the No. 2 Brigade, along with team leader Jiang Zhaohua, called Ms. Gao to the duty office and tortured her with electric batons for seven hours, according to these sources. Those detained with Ms. Gao in the labour camp say she sustained burns on her face, head, and neck, which caused her face to swell and become disfigured. Her face was covered with blisters, and her hair was matted with pus and blood. She could open her eyes only a crack because her face and mouth were severely swollen and deformed.

Zhen-Shan-Ren 01-29-2005, 07:15 PM Thousands of sane and healthy Falun Gong practitioners have been detained in mental hospitals. Among them are teachers, judges, and other professionals who were branded as insane for exposing the facts about the persecution of Falun Gong to the public, or simply for practicing the Falun Gong exercises. In order to break their will and force them to renounce Falun Gong, hospital staff administer psychotropic drugs or other "medication" that damage the nervous system, often rendering the victims incoherent and plummeting them into horrific states of physical pain and mental anguish. This form of torture often results in permanent nerve damage or irreversible psychological damage. Many have died from such "treatment," and countless others have suffered nervous breakdowns from the intense persecution and psychological pressure in the mental facilities.
Practitioners detained in mental hospitals are also subjected to intense brainwashing tactics to turn them against Falun Gong; they are tortured with electric shock therapy, deprived of sleep, and given large doses of powerful drugs.
The World Psychiatric Association voted in August 2002 to investigate, but Chinese authorities have repeatedly denied them access to any mental facilities.

The inhuman and sadistic nature of the persecution is exemplified in the sexual abuse suffered by Falun Gong practitioners at the hand of Chinese authorities.

Those sick bastards! I could not get past that entire paragraph without shaking with rage. How can anyone treat a human being like that for doing nothing more than believing in something? I sincerely hope that the Chinese rise up and put those sadistic pricks in 5 by 10 cages and give them a little payment in kind!

Thats shocking stuff.
It really makes me sad especially to see a lovely girl get disfigured like that. Such a shame. Nothing can ever justify this sort of thing.
No ****. This stuff pisses me off!
How in the hell anyone can say that China is in step with the modern world is beyond me. This is a country that has enslaved its own people! They may have a strong economy and all but who cares? It is at least 50 years behind in the area of human rights.
Zhen-Shan-Ren 02-03-2005, 07:22 PM Force-feeding is a torture method that labour camp staff often use on Falun Gong practitioners, particularly on those who have staged hunger strikes to protest their unlawful detention. However, it is certainly not an attempt to nourish or feed; rather, it is a brutal procedure that has resulted in at least 100 deaths. The force-feeding is most often carried out by labour camp staff with no medical training, or by criminal inmates who are coerced to assist. Firm, unsanitized tubes are forced into a practitioner’s nose and into the stomach, often rupturing or damaging tissues; sometimes the tube enters the lungs instead. The tubes are sometimes left in a practitioner’s stomach for days or weeks, causing severe infections, or pulled out and reinserted repeatedly. The practitioners are often “fed” irritants such as highly concentrated salt water, hot pepper oil, boiling water, or detergent.
In the summer of 2003, the Gaoyang Forced Labour Camp began force-feeding Falun Gong practitioners with human urine and excrement; the government awarded them for this innovation, and sent labour camp staff from around the country to learn this procedure.

Zhen-Shan-Ren 02-08-2005, 10:21 PM Thousands of Falun Gong practitioners have been routinely beaten while in police custody for refusing to renounce Falun Gong. Police frequently beat practitioners with plastic truncheons, wooden boards, belts, and spiked batons, to name just a few. Many practitioners have had their bones broken or have incurred internal bleeding as a result of these beatings, and dozens – if not hundreds – have died. In most cases, their bodies are hurriedly cremated to destroy evidence of abuse in custody.

Zhen-Shan-Ren 02-10-2005, 07:25 PM Many Falun Gong practitioners in China's northern provinces have been exposed to extreme cold as a form of torture. They are routinely doused with cold water and left outside or in unheated cells to freeze. Some have been forced to stand in or run through snow wearing only a thin layer of clothing. Thousands are left to sleep on the concrete floors of unheated prison cells in the dead of winter, and to make the cold even more unbearable, prison staff have been reported to leave the windows open in practitioners' cells during the night. Many practitioners are kept in such cells even when badly injured or on the verge of death.
They are also exposed to extreme heat, being forced to work long hours in unventilated sweatshops or being left outside in the scorching sun.
Furthermore, practitioners are forced to live in extremely filthy and unsanitary conditions. Labour camp staff frequently punish Falun Gong practitioners by not allowing them to use the bathroom. Many female practitioners are unable to use sanitary products during their periods. As a result of the unsanitary conditions, many prisoners and Falun Gong practitioners in labour camps develop festering scabies and skin diseases.

Zhen-Shan-Ren 02-16-2005, 09:18 PM Based on reports from across China, different detention centers use the idea of the water dungeon in different ways. Some water dungeons submerge a Falun Gong practitioner in chest-deep, filthy water; in others, the water is too deep to stand in. Some have sharp spikes on the inside. Usually, the water dungeons are well-hidden rooms or cells where practitioners are forced to stay for days and nights on end in total darkness. The water is most often extremely filthy, containing garbage and sewage.

Zhen, if I may ask you, are you involved with the Falun Gong? Maybe you can tell me exactly why is it that the government is so afraid of this group? I don't think its just because they are a religion. The government in China is no longer as harsh regarding religious practices. Does the Falun Gong represent any threat to the government. Its all sounds very strange to me.
Zhen-Shan-Ren 02-23-2005, 08:58 PM Zhen, if I may ask you, are you involved with the Falun Gong? Maybe you can tell me exactly why is it that the government is so afraid of this group? I don't think its just because they are a religion. The government in China is no longer as harsh regarding religious practices. Does the Falun Gong represent any threat to the government. Its all sounds very strange to me.
It's simple yet complicated. I hope I shed some light on the subject.
Some of the reasons Falun Gong is persecuted in China are:
1) Fear/Jealousy
2) Power/Control
Fear & Jealousy
The unique way Falun Gong propagates is person to person and heart to heart. Falun Gong has a loose management structure, and anyone can come and go freely as he wishes. It is very different from the strict organization of the CCP. Despite the strict organization, the political study and group activities conducted weekly or more frequently in the CCP branches existed only in form. Few Party members agreed with the Party ideology. On the contrary, Falun Gong practitioners conscientiously followed the principles of “Truthfulness, Compassion and Tolerance.” Because of the powerful effect of Falun Gong on improving people’s mental and physical health, the number of people who practiced Falun Gong grew exponentially. Practitioners voluntarily studied Mr. Li Hongzhi’s series of books and promoted Falun Gong at their own expense. In a short seven years time, the number of Falun Gong practitioners grew from none to 100 million. When they practiced the exercises in the morning, Falun Gong exercise music could be heard in almost every park in China. http://english.epochtimes.com/news/4-12-18/24972.html
http://photo.minghui.org/photo/images/group_practice/china/images/2002-3-16-nanchang-99-81square-sm.jpg
The Communist Party said that Falun Gong “competes” for the masses with the CCP and that it was a “religion.” In fact, what Falun Gong brings to people is a culture and a way of life. It is an ancestral culture and the root of Chinese traditions, which the Chinese people had lost long ago. Jiang Zemin and the Communist Party feared Falun Gong, because once this traditional morality was accepted by the public, nothing could prevent it from spreading rapidly. The Chinese traditional beliefs have been forcibly shut off and tampered with by the Communist Party for decades. It would be the choice of history to return to tradition. It would be the path of return chosen by the vast majority of people after tribulations and misery. When given such a choice, people would certainly distinguish between right and wrong and are likely to leave wickedness behind. This would certainly be a fundamental denial and abandonment of what the Communist Party has promoted. This was like striking at the mortal weakness of the CCP. When the number of people who practiced Falun Gong exceeded that of the Communist Party members, you could imagine the deep fear and jealousy of the CCP.
http://english.epochtimes.com/news/4-12-18/24972.html
Power & Control
Due to their fear and jealousy, the CCP does unspeakable evil to control others.
The CCP has spared no efforts since taking power to commit class genocide, and has achieved its reign of terror by means of violent revolution. Killing and brainwashing have been used hand in hand to suppress any beliefs other than communist theory. The CCP has launched one movement after another to portray itself as infallible and godlike. Following its theories of class struggle and violent revolution, the CCP has tried to purge dissidents and opposing social classes, using violence and deception to force all Chinese people to become the obedient servants of its tyrannical rule.
http://english.epochtimes.com/news/4-12-13/24939.html
III. Crackdown on Religions and Religious Groups
The CCP committed another atrocity in the brutal suppression of religion and the complete ban of all grass-roots religious groups following the founding of the People’s Republic of China. In 1950, the CCP instructed its local governments to ban all unofficial religious faiths and secret societies. The CCP stated that those “feudalistic” underground groups were mere tools in the hands of landlords, rich farmers, reactionaries, and the special agents of the KMT. In the nationwide crackdown, the government mobilized the classes they trusted to identify and persecute members of religious groups. Governments at various levels were directly involved in disbanding such “superstitious groups” as communities of Christians, Catholics, Taoists (especially believers of I-Kuan Tao), and Buddhists. They ordered all members of these churches, temples, and religious societies to register with government agencies and to repent for their involvement. Failure to do so would mean severe punishment. In 1951, the government formally promulgated regulations threatening that those who continued their activities in unofficial religious groups would face a life sentence or a death penalty.
This movement persecuted a large number of kind-hearted and law-abiding believers in God. Incomplete statistics indicate that the CCP in the 1950s persecuted at least three million religious believers and underground group members, some of whom were killed. The CCP searched almost every household across the nation and interrogated its members, even smashing statues of the Kitchen God that Chinese peasants traditionally worshipped. The executions reinforced the CCP’s message that communist ideology was the only legitimate ideology and the only legitimate faith. The concept of “patriotic” believers soon emerged. The state constitution protected only “patriotic” believers. The reality was whatever religion one believed in, there was only one criterion: you had to follow the CCP’s instructions and you had to acknowledge that the CCP was above all religions. If you were a Christian, the CCP was the god of the Christian God. If you were a Buddhist, the CCP was the Master Buddha of the Master Buddha. Among Muslims, the CCP was the Allah of the Allah. When it came to the Living Buddha in Tibetan Buddhism, the CCP would intervene and itself choose who the Living Buddha would be. The CCP left you no choice but to say and do what the CCP demanded you to say and do. All believers were forced to carry out the CCP’s objectives while upholding their respective faiths in name only. Failing to do so would make one the target of the CCP’s persecution and dictatorship.
According to a February 22, 2002 report by Humanity and Human Rights online magazine, twenty thousand Christians conducted a survey among 560,000 Christians in house churches in 207 cities in 22 provinces in China. The survey found that among house church attendees, 130,000 were under government surveillance. In the book How the Chinese Communist Party Persecuted Christians (1958), it is stated that by 1957, the CCP had killed over 11,000 religious adherents and had arbitrarily arrested and extorted money from many more.
By eliminating the landlord class and the capitalist class and by persecuting large numbers of God-worshipping and law-abiding people, the CCP cleared the way for Communism to become the all-encompassing religion of China.

The CCP Destroys Humanity’s Righteous Faith
All nations have historically believed in God. Precisely because of belief in God and the karmic causality of good and evil, humans would restrain themselves and maintain the moral standard of the society. At all times and across the world, the orthodox religions in the west and Confucianism, Buddhism, and Taoism in the east have all taught people that true happiness comes from having faith in God, worshipping heaven, being compassionate, cherishing what one has, being grateful for one’s blessings, and paying back other’s kindness.
A guiding premise of communism has been atheism—the belief that there is no Buddha, no Tao, no past lives, no after life, and no causal retribution. Therefore, communists in different countries have all told the poor and the lumpen proletariat [18] that they do not need to believe in God; they do not need to pay for what they do; and they do not need to abide by the laws and behave themselves. On the contrary, they should use trickery and violence to acquire wealth.
In ancient China, emperors, considered to be of supreme nobility, still placed themselves below heaven, calling themselves sons of heaven. Controlled and restrained by “heaven’s will,” they would, from time to time, issue imperial edicts to blame themselves and repent to heaven. The communists, however, take it upon themselves to represent the will of heaven. Unrestricted by laws or heaven, they are free to do anything they want. As a result, they have created one hell after another on earth.

Zhen-Shan-Ren 02-23-2005, 09:00 PM The emotional bond that a mother has with her child, whether born or unborn, is a sacred and powerful one. In China's labor camps, not only is this bond not respected, but it is wielded as a weapon to force pregnant women or mothers to give up their belief in Falun Gong.
For example, one cannot imagine the anguish of Ms. Wang Lixuan when labor camp authorities tortured her infant son to death and took her life as well.
Because detaining pregnant women is against policy in China's labor camps, it is common for pregnant detainees to have forced abortions. In one case, when a Falun Gong practitioner's baby was ripped from her womb after eight months, the baby was conscious and crying; it was taken away, never to be seen again. Pregnant and nursing women are also forced to perform hard labor, often resulting in complications in pregnancy and miscarriage.
Scores of children have been left unattended after their parents are detained. They wait anxiously with relatives for their parents to return, not knowing whether they ever will come home. In some cases children are left alone to fend for themselves, and dozens have been orphaned.

Falun Gong poses no threat to the Chinese government or the Chinese people whether it's physical, political, etc....
It's hard to comprehend what humans will do to other humans especially after WWII. I won't but some may argue that the persecution of Falun Gong is worse than that of the Holocaust.
The Chinese gov't controls EVERYTHING in China: TV, Newspapers, Radio, police, judges, lawyers, ....EVERYTHING.
If you don't follow them, they make you. If you still refuse, they try to break you.
The essential expression of CCP genocide is the extermination of conscience and independent thought. In this way a ‘reign of terror’ serves the fundamental interests of the CCP. The CCP will not only eliminate you if you are against it, but it may also destroy you even if you are for it. It will eliminate whomever it deems should be eliminated. Consequently, everyone lives in the shadow of terror and fears the CCP.

One of the sad things is that quite a few Chinese prison guards and police think that Falun Gong is good but they fear the gov't so much that they will continue to persecute them.
Zhen-Shan-Ren 02-24-2005, 09:57 PM The best way you can help is to let people around you know what Falun Dafa is. Let them know that it is a practice based on ancient philosophies that helps people gain better health and peace of mind. China's biggest weapon against all spiritual practices is to call them 'cults' because the derogatory connotations of that word is often enough to put people on guard, and in the case of Falun Dafa, it is a label that is completely inaccurate. Practitioners lead normal lives and participate actively in their communities. The practice is an individual choice and is centered on the improvement of one's self. There are no obligations, and everyone is free to come and go as they choose. Falun Dafa is more accurately thought of as a "cultivation practice," which is a concept that may be somewhat new to us in the West. Many other self-cultivation practices similar to Falun Dafa have been practiced in China for many centuries, as they have provided health, wisdom, and peace of mind to countless generations. As these arts become more familiar in the West, our vocabulary for them will expand.
Also let people know what is happening to Falun Dafa practitioners in China. Get copies of the two-part video "Falun Gong: The Real Story" and invite your friends and colleagues to screenings. Write to your government representatives so they know that their constituents are concerned about the human rights situation in China.
"We are not against the government now, nor will we be in the future. Other people may treat us badly, but we do not treat others badly, nor do we treat people as enemies.
We are calling for all governments, international organizations and people of goodwill worldwide to extend their support and assistance to us in order to resolve the present crisis that is taking place in China."

And here you're saying they are destroying these people simply because they can't be controlled?

By a Dafa practitioner in China
On the evening of July 25, 2002, I was arrested at a fellow practitioner's home by the local police who were lying in ambush. They beat and kicked me, aiming specifically for my chest and abdomen, causing dark purple bruises. My head had open bleeding wounds, and my face was also terribly swollen by the beating.
Later, the police drove me to a remote location to continue to abuse me. They found some hard and strong nylon rope that is used specifically for the boating and fishing industry. They suspended the rope from a roof-level heater pipe and hung me up, with both arms tied, and poured water over my face. The police then located two plastic rectangular "barrels" full of water, each able to hold about 40 to 50 jin [approximately 45 to 55 lbs.]. They said, "Since your are female, we will fill them slightly less." A few days before, they suspended two full barrels of water from another practitioner. They used a long cloth strip with each end tied around the handle of each barrel and hung them over my shoulder. After a while, observing nothing wrong with me, the police then wet the cloth strips. Since I was already sweating from the hot weather, the wet cloth strips stuck right to my skin. Each of the two policemen grasped one barrel, with one standing in the front and one standing in the back, and pulled the barrels back and forth in a sawing motion. The skin of my shoulder and neck became abraded and bleeding after being sawed like this for few times. I was tired and in pain, carrying two barrels of water which weighed almost 100 lbs., across my shoulder. The cloth even painfully cut the ligaments in my shoulder. After a while my hands began to swell up. In addition, one policeman began poking my armpits to increase the pain from this torture.
Another half an hour passed. My arms lost all sensation. Later I felt nauseated and was breathing heavily. I was tortured this way for almost four hours. When my arms were untied, they had no feeling at all and I couldn't hold anything. Only two weeks later could my arms hold anything again, and it was six months before they gradually recovered.
Zhen-Shan-Ren 03-22-2005, 08:29 PM United Kingdom: Media and Public Support for the First Anti-Torture Exhibition in Belfast
On March 4th and 5th, Falun Gong practitioners from Scotland, England and Ireland held an anti-torture exhibition in Belfast, the capital of Northern Ireland. Before holding the exhibition, practitioners sent out an invitation letter to all UK MPs, MEPs, libraries, police stations, city councillors and some other non-governmental organisations.
On March 4th, the Belfast Telegraph newspaper introduced the anti-torture exhibition information. The practitioners held the anti-torture exhibition in a small square in Belfast’s city centre and the weather was very cold. Passersby were all astonished while watching the simulation of the brutal methods of torture employed by the Chinese Communist Party in cruel attempts to force Falun Gong practitioners to give up their belief.

The police in Yilan County, Heilongjiang Province, cruelly torture detained Falun Gong practitioners, and they also instigate the inmates to do the same. These torture methods include, but are not limited to the following: using a plastic bag to suffocate the practitioners, slamming their heads against the wall, scraping their rib cages, whipping them with a bamboo stick, and piercing their fingertips.

Zhen-Shan-Ren 03-22-2005, 08:40 PM -- A Summary of Falun Gong Practitioners Who Have Been Permanently and Severely Harmed Physically and Mentally by the Persecution
The Falun Gong practitioners mentioned in this article were good people of sound physical and mental health. Because they were determined to practise Falun Dafa and wished to live by the principles "Truthfulness, Compassion, Forbearance," they refused to be brainwashed by Jiang Zemin's regime. Therefore, the Chinese Communist Party (CCP) tortured them until they were physically disabled or had a mental breakdown because of physical abuse or neurological drugs. Many people lost their lives after they were physically disabled or had a mental breakdown.
"The purpose is to torture you until you'd rather be dead than alive," the police told practitioners when torturing them. For more than five years, under the genocidal policy of "defaming their [Falun Gong practitioners] reputation, bankrupting them financially, destroying them physically," the police brutality has become ever more severe. Countless cases of brutal torture, sexual abuse, large fines, injections of neurological drugs, brainwashing, firings, ransacking of homes, educational and other types of mental persecution have become the norm for Chinese law enforcement agencies throughout the country. The examples listed in this article are only the tip of the iceberg.

Zhen-Shan-Ren 04-19-2005, 11:52 PM In Jianxin Forced Labor Camp, in order to brainwash Falun Gong practitioners, the officials have constructed a device called the "black coffin" to torture and destroy a practitioner's body and mind.
The "black coffin" is made of thick wooden boards, which are 50cm in length, 40cm in width, and 1.89 meters in height. It is coated with artificial black leather throughout the interior, with only a small hole at the front. The practitioner is forced in, and there is no room to move at all.
The labor camp officials use this device to torture the most steadfast practitioners. Officials lock a practitioner inside generally for seven to ten days, and even up to two weeks at a time. Officials first set the "coffin" upright, then turn it sideways, face up, face down, and even upside down.

Zhen-Shan-Ren 04-24-2005, 11:54 PM Days before the April 23 parade in New York and global parades supporting the one million withdrawals from the Chinese Communist Party (CCP), the CCP has launched the largest nationwide assault on Falun Gong since July 20, 1999, according to minghui.net.
Wave of Withdrawals – One Million Renounce the Communist Party
Reports from China say this wave of arrests is in direct response to the growing popularity of the "Nine Commentaries on the Chinese Communist Party," a series of essays published by The Epoch Times providing a stark view of the CCP's pattern of suppression and killing over the last 60 years in China.

Zhen-Shan-Ren 05-14-2005, 11:59 PM In April 2005, 350 Falun Gong practitioners have been confirmed as being tortured to death in China. According to Clearwisdom.net, 203 (58 percent) of those who were tortured to death in April were women and 223 (64 percent) were over 55 years old, including 72 who were in their 70s.
Woman in Her 70s is Beaten to Death at Home by the Police
On Dec. 27, under orders from the 610 Office in Xiamen city, the chief of police led several hundred police officers in groups of seven on a citywide rampage to arrest Falun Gong practitioners and illegally confiscate their belongings. At 9 p.m., the police raided the home of 74-year-old Chen Xiuchong. The police confiscated her belongings. When she tried to fight for her Falun Gong books, she was pushed to the ground. White foam immediately flowed from Chen's mouth and she became unconscious. The police officers who were present continued to kick her and said that Chen was pretending to be dead. She died that evening.

Zhen-Shan-Ren 05-27-2005, 08:38 PM I'm a Falun Gong practitioner who was brutally persecuted several times by Chinese police. I would like to briefly talk about how I was tortured.
In 2000, I went to Beijing to appeal for justice for Dafa, and at Tiananmen Square I was beaten by police. Later I was sent to Yanqing Detention Center. At Yanqing Detention Center, police used electric batons to shock me for more than half an hour. Because of the electric shocks, blisters formed all over my neck to the point where I could no longer move it. On the second day, I was sent to the local government office, where I was brutally beaten all over my body. Both my legs became purple and the flesh on my back was cracked from whipping. I was later illegally detained in the detention center for a couple of months, and my family spent more than eight thousand yuan in order to get me discharged from the detention center.
...
Next they tied the two electrical wires to my nipples, and just like this I was shocked for 5 to 6 hours. At dinner time the torture was stopped. After that I was tied to a chair and left there for a night. The second day, I was sent to the second detention center in Shijiazhuang. When I took a shower, I found that my nipples had been scorched by the electric shocks. In the second detention center at Shijiazhuang, I went on a hunger strike to protest the illegal detention, and shortly after I was sentenced to a labor camp.

Zhen-Shan-Ren 05-27-2005, 08:41 PM --A Summary of Falun Gong Practitioners Who Have Been Permanently and Severely Harmed Physically and Mentally by the Persecution
The Falun Gong practitioners mentioned in this article were good people of sound physical and mental health. Because they insisted on practicing Falun Dafa and wished to live by the principle of "Truthfulness, Compassion, Forbearance," they remained clearheaded in the face of the Chinese Communist Party's (CCP) attempts to brainwash them. Therefore, the CCP tortured them, using physical abuse or neurological drugs on them until they became physically disabled or had a mental breakdown. After they became physically disabled or had a mental breakdown, many of them lost their lives.
"The purpose is to torture you until you'd rather be dead than alive," the police told practitioners when torturing them. For more than five years, under the genocidal policy of "defaming their [Falun Gong practitioners'] reputation, bankrupting them financially, destroying them physically," the police brutality has become ever more severe.

Falun Gong is just a variant of Tai Chi ... right ?
Tai Chi is as common as rice and chopsticks in China and part of their culture ... I don't get why the police see that as some sort of a threat there.
Zhen-Shan-Ren 06-17-2005, 06:10 AM The recent defections of Chinese officials in Australia has brought to light the existence of one of the world's most ruthless organizations still in existence - the "610" office, an organization similar to the Nazi's Gestapo. The Epoch Times has an exclusive report about the 610 office, reprinted from the magazine, "Compassion."
--------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Like Hitler's Gestapo, the 6-10 office is an extra-constitutional body of unquestioned power whose business is terror. Created by former Chinese leader Jiang Zemin, the 6-10 office has operated virtually unrestricted for six years.
The 6-10 Office aims to identify and isolate every single Falun Gong practitioner, and then bring to bear upon each one the full weight of the state and society.
The 6-10 Office's singular capacity for terror depends, first of all, on the way it penetrates every aspect of Chinese society, from the top to the bottom. The CCP Central Committee 6-10 Office has ministerial rank. Every province, city, county, and township has its own 6-10 Office. Each university, government organization, and state-run corporation has its own 6-10 Office as well.

What I've heard was that it was tolerated at first because it made people happy and motivated. What happened was that it gained such a great following, and so many people gathered in the same place to practise it - that the party saw it as dangerous and outlawed it.
Both are correct.
Falun Gong was introduced to the public in 1992 (before, one teacher would teach only one student). The number of people practising quickly grew. By 1996, an estimated 70 million people in China would practice the exercises daily.
http://photo.minghui.org/photo/images/group_practice/china/images/2003-8-20-shijiazhuang_history_3.jpg
By 1999, an estimated 100 million people in China were practicing.
http://photo.minghui.org/photo/images/group_practice/china/images/2004-2-6-weifang_history.jpg
Why did it grow so fast? People became heathier, diseases disappeared, and people were following Truth-Compassion-Tolerance (the main philosophy in Falun Gong) which enriched their society. The government supported Falun Gong at first because they were now saving millions of dollars on health care.
If Falun Gong is so good, then why is it persecuted? The # of individuals that have memberships to the CCP (Chinese Communist Party) is about 50-60 million. Once the # of Falun Gong practitioners approached that #, the CCP became scared and felt threatened. Of what? They thought Falun Gong would take over China and destroy the CCP. Falun Gong is not political in any way. There are no membership fees, no presidents, vice presidents,..., nor do they seek political gain.
Another reason why Falun Gong is persecuted is that the CCP survives and thrives on control. It is an attempt to control those who practice Falun Gong. The problem the CCP is encountering is that they are unable to control people's hearts. Practitioners are willing to endure the worst tortures instead of rejecting their belief in Truth-Compassion-Tolerance. Some things are worth "fighting" for.
How come this isn't all over the papers and why is it so unknown? (1)The CCP controls everything: The newspapers, the TV, magazines, the internet, radio,... everything. (2) The CCP has poisoned the minds of millions of Chinese people into thinking that Falun Gong is evil and they deserve what they are receiving. (Did Hilter tell his people that Jews were good people and that killing them was just for something to do or did he poison the Germans people into thinking that Jews are bad and deserve to be slaughtered?) (3) Politics and Money. 95% of my daughters toys were made in China. Your clothes, shoes, TV's, computers,... have probably been directly or indirectly made in China.
Imagine this….
I’m walking in a park and I see someone I really don’t like. I can’t stand him so much that I start beating on him. I want to punch him, kick him, stomp on him, you name it. Now, there are about 10 people who see this happen. What do you think will happen? I would be swarmed and pulled off of him. I would be restrained until the police arrive. The onlookers would think I’m crazy, that I lost my mind.
What if I change it up a bit….
Let’s say I know this guy (the nicest guy in the world but there is just something about him that really irks me). He walks through the same park everyday after work on his way home. The 10 people are also regulars in the park. I know I can’t attack the guy I hate without being stopped….unless I turn people against him. How do I do that? I know I make up some lies. I tell one onlooker (a black person) that the guy I hate always uses the “N” word. I tell a new father and mother that the guy is a pedophile. I tell a woman that he thinks all women belong in the kitchen and not in the workforce. I tell a Jewish man that the guy believe that the Jews got what they deserved in WWII. I tell a female that the guy is a serial rapist. I “inform” a gay couple that the guy thinks all gays should be hauled away a shot. And finally (I think this will equal ten) I tell 2 sisters that the guy is a wife beater. I spend a month talking to these people to have the “poison” sink in. Then one day, BAM, I start thumping the guy just like I wanted too. What would happen? Would I be pulled off? I am guessing no. In fact, I think a few of them would even get a few shots of their own in.
Why the different outcome? Because, I turned everyone against him. That is how Hitler was successful in killing 6.5 million Jews. He spread lies and “poisoned” people’s minds.
Imagine the damage I could do if I controlled the all the media: TV, radio, newspapers, magazines, advertising, internet, etc. I could turn a community, possibly the city against him. Imagine if I ruled a country. I could turn the whole country against him or anyone else I wanted.
No one would stop me because everyone hates him. Until the truth came out that I lied and turned everyone against him. Now everyone hates me and rightfully so. The persecution against him can no longer succeed because the “poison” is gone.
To use a similar example, look at the war in Iraq. A lot of Americans were for the war based on the knowledge that Iraq had Weapons of mass destruction. Now that we know there are no weapons of mass destruction, people are furious. Congress is saying that they would have never allowed a war to continue had they known the truth. This example was to help illustrate my point that people will support you when you poison them but once they learn the truth, they will follow you no more.

Zhen-Shan-Ren 06-28-2005, 10:46 PM NEW YORK—The emergency-room death of Gao Rongrong was neither accidental nor unnoticed. Four days after she died, Chinese embassies around the world were the sites of mass appeals.
On June 16, accountant, Ms. Gao Rongrong died due to years of torture and abuse inflicted upon her because she practiced Falun Gong. Falun Gong, a peaceful meditation practice, is banned in China and persecuted by the Chinese Communist Party (CCP).
“This exposed how Falun Gong practitioners in China are being brutally persecuted, and the unscrupulous means used by the CCP outside of China,” said Sue Zhang, while standing in front of a Chinese consulate in Vancouver, Canada. “Today, we are here to protest against the Chinese government for torturing Gao Rongrong to death. We also call on the Canadian government to pay attention to the persecution of Falun Gong.

Zhen-Shan-Ren 08-07-2005, 11:05 PM The genocidal persecution of Falun Gong carried out by the Chinese Communist Party and the Jiang regime has lasted for six years, from July 20, 1999 to July 2005. During these six years, there have been 2,739 confirmed cases of Falun Gong practitioners being tortured to death. 98 cases were confirmed in July 2005.

Zhen-Shan-Ren 01-21-2006, 09:49 AM During 2005, the Clearwisdom website posted 1,641 reports of Falun Gong practitioners in China being persecuted to death. The reports came from 29 provinces, cities and several "autonomous regions." Jiang Zemin, his regime, and the CCP began persecuting Falun Gong practitioners on July 20, 1999. From then through December 31, 2005, at least 2,805 practitioners have died due to the persecution. Of these deaths, 392 occurred in 2005. These are only the known deaths. Because the persecutors try to hide their crimes, the true death toll is certain to be higher.

Zhen-Shan-Ren 01-21-2006, 10:08 AM On Nov. 25, Falun Gong practitioners Liu Jizhi and Han Yuzhi were raped while being held at their local police station. Such rapes are not aberrations. Chinese policemen are encouraged to use "all means" to force adherents of Falun Gong to give up this practice, and rape has repeatedly been employed as a means of terror.
Ms. Liu Jizhi was arrested, beaten and rape by Chinese policemen in police custody. Below is a quote from her letter.

On the morning of November 25, 2005, policemen went to Xituan Village to arrest more Falun Dafa practitioners, and returned after lunch. Police He Xuejian escorted me to his dorm room. His roommate Policemen Wang Zengjun was lying on his bed, 610 office member Wang Huiqi was standing in the room. He Xuejian did not ask me anything, but forced me sit squat like the day before, beat me with a rubber baton several times, then clinched my throat, suffocating me. Then he pinched my breast. He lifted up my shirt and said, "The flesh is very tender." He electric baton shocked my nipples twice, and said, "This is fun, her nipples sparked." Then he pushed me onto his bed, and started to strip off my pants. 610 Office member Wang Huiqi was standing in the room the entire time, and did not stop He Xuejian, but left the room when he saw He Xuejian had started stripping off my pants. He even said with hatred, "Beat her!" None of them ever locked the door.

Prisoners Killed for Organs
“Nobody has yet to come out,” Chinese Journalist Reveals
....Located in the Sujiatun district of Shenyang city, the camp, dubbed the Sujiatun Concentration Camp, is surrounded by walls three meters high, topped with electrified barbed wire. It is heavily fortified and said to be highly secret; locals know close to nothing about it. Those held inside are Falun Gong adherents from China’s three northeastern provinces as well as central China; many are said to have been transferred there from various labor camps. CCP authorities involved with the camp have “learned many things from North Korea,” according to the source....
...The Chinese source spoke at length about the unlawful “harvesting” of organs in the Sujiatun facility. “If Falun Dafa practitioners are sent to Sujiatun,” he said, “they have no chance of coming out … The CCP won’t let a prisoner consume food forever. So what are they up to, then? … the Falun Dafa practitioners are killed for their organs, which are sent off to various medical facilities. Organ sales is now a highly profitable business in China.”
....Last June CCP authorities reportedly held a “crisis meeting” in which China’s deputy minister of Public Security, Liu Jing, was assigned the job of “stamping out” Falun Gong “before the Olympic Games in 2008,” according to the Paris-based Intelligence Online. Several reports have stated that authorities wish to use the Olympics as a pretext to deepen their assault on the Falun Gong.

China: Bu Dongwei - Prisoner of Conscience
Posted: 29 August 2006
Hong Kong, CHINA: Members of the mainland banned spiritual movement "Falun Gong" march through the streets of Hong Kong, 26 August 2006.
MIKE CLARKE/AFP/Getty Images Bu Dongwei, also known as David Bu, was assigned to two-and-a-half years’ “Re-education through Labour” (RTL) on 19 June in connection with his activities as a member of the Falun Gong spiritual movement. He is detained at an undisclosed location, and Amnesty International considers him to be a prisoner of conscience. He is at serious risk of torture or ill-treatment.
Bu Dongwei had been working in Beijing for the US aid organization, the Asia Foundation, before he was detained by around seven police officers at his home in the Haidian district of the capital, Beijing , on 19 May. According to the decision of Beijing 's RTL committee, which has the power to impose periods of arbitrary detention without charge or trial, he was accused of ‘resisting the implementation of national laws’ and ‘disturbing social order’. The evidence cited was a verbal confession he made to police, and 80 copies of Falun Gong literature that the police discovered in his home. He is due to be released on 18 November 2008.
Bu Dongwei’s family have disputed the evidence against him, claiming that the police discovered no more than eight Falun Gong books when they detained him. Despite repeated requests to the authorities, his family have not been told where he is being detained. Unofficial sources suggest that he may have first been taken to Qinghe detention centre, Haidian district, and transferred to Tuanhe RTL facility in Beijing on 21 August, but this remains unconfirmed.
Bu Dongwei had previously served a term of ten months’ RTL from August 2000 to May 2001 in Tuanhe RTL facility for ‘using a heretical organization to disrupt the implementation of the law’ after he petitioned the authorities asking them to review their ban on Falun Gong. During this period, he was reportedly subjected to torture and ill-treatment, including being made to sit all day in a small chair as well as beatings and sleep deprivation aimed at forcing him to renounce his belief in Falun Gong.
Background Information
Tens of thousands of Falun Gong practitioners have been arbitrarily detained in China since the spiritual movement was banned as a ''threat to social and political stability'' in July 1999. Those accused of being Falun Gong leaders or organizers have been sentenced to prison terms, while others have been held in psychiatric hospitals. The vast majority, however, have been held in RTL facilities, a form of administrative detention imposed without charge, trial or judicial review. Torture or ill-treatment of detained Falun Gong practitioners has reportedly been widespread, particularly against those who refuse to renounce their beliefs in Falun Gong.
Overseas Falun Gong organizations have documented over 2,000 deaths in custody of Falun Gong practitioners since the crackdown began. It has recently been alleged that a large number of deaths in custody may be the result of enforced ‘organ harvesting’ from Falun Gong detainees so that their organs can be used for transplants. Amnesty International is investigating these reports, but is currently unable to independently verify these allegations.
“Re-education through Labour” (RTL) continues to be used extensively in China despite repeated calls from both inside and outside China for the system to be abolished. The Beijing authorities recently approved the use of RTL to target vagrants and petty criminals in their attempts to ‘clean up’ the city before it hosts the Olympics in 2008. Attempts by the authorities to replace RTL with new legislation known as the “Illegal Behaviour Correction Law” (IBCL) have stalled. Amnesty International considers that the new law fails to meet international fair trial standards and continues to urge the authorities to abolish the system altogether by bringing all offences punishable with deprivation of liberty within the scope of the Criminal Law.
TAKE ACTION:
Using your own words, please choose a few of the suggestions below to create a personal appeal in Chinese or your own language:
expressing concern that Bu Dongwei is detained in violation of his fundamental human rights to freedom of expression, association and religious belief, and calling on the authorities to release him immediately and unconditionally;
calling on the authorities to immediately disclose his place of detention to his family and to allow them to conduct regular family visits while he remains in custody;
urging the authorities to ensure that he has access to lawyers and any necessary medical treatment while he remains in detention;
calling on the authorities to end the political crackdown against the Falun Gong spiritual movement, which has resulted in numerous human rights violations;
urging the authorities to abolish “Re-education through Labour” (RTL) and ensure that all offences punishable with deprivation of liberty are brought within the scope of the Criminal Law.

LemonCookie 11-21-2006, 09:56 PM This will not be solved anytime soon. In around 20 or 30 years, we at AI are hoping enough of the old guard die out to actually make some dramatic changes with regard to human rights.
The economic utopian views of China are currently too strong for anyone to fight against and thus change will have to come from within, one heart at a time. :(
Zhen-Shan-Ren 11-05-2007, 12:22 AM Twenty Falun Gong adherents reported dead in June
NEW YORK – During the month of June the Falun Dafa Information Center has recorded the deaths of 20 Falun Gong adherents as a result of the Chinese Communist Party’s persecution of the practice. Some of the deaths took place as early as January 2007 but only became known in June due to the difficulties and dangers involved in obtaining such sensitive information from inside China.
The deaths took place across ten provinces and cities throughout China, with over three quarters of them occurring in the northeastern part of the country. Fourteen of those killed were women, who also account for 70 percent of the overall confirmed death toll, which now stands at 3,073. Estimates place the actual death toll at over ten times this figure, as many thousands remain missing and earlier killings continue to be uncovered.

Zhen-Shan-Ren 11-10-2007, 12:56 AM CAA learned from reliable internal Chinese government sources that in April of 2007, the Ministry of Public Security of the Chinese government issued a general nation-wide order, requiring strict examinations on all people both in China and overseas who will participate in the Olympic Games. These include members of the Olympic Committee, athletes, media and sponsors. With this, they also provide a list of 43 types of people in 11 categories to be barred from attending the Olympic Games.
11 categories of people:
1. Antagonistic elements.
2. Adherents of Falun Gong, other cults and harmful Qigong organizations.
3. Religious extremists and religious infiltrators.
4. Secessionists of ethnic minorities.
5. Media employees who can harm the Olympic Games.
6. Non-government organizations engaging in activities that can pose a real threat to the Olympic Games.
7. Dangerous elements, key petitioners and other people who have serious grievances against the Party.
8. People for whom the judicial authorities have filed a case for investigation or have adopted forced criminal or administrative measures.
9. Criminals under surveillance, on probation, parole, medical parole or criminals deprived of their political rights or serving their sentence outside the prison, and people placed in the programs of reformation through labor or serving their sentence outside the reformation centers.

Zhen-Shan-Ren 11-10-2007, 01:00 AM On Tuesday, November 6, CBC television was scheduled to show a documentary entitled “Beyond the Red Wall”. This film focuses on the vicious persecution of Falun Gong practitioners in China, highlighting the illegal nature of the persecution, the use of torture, and the horrific fact that Falun Gong practitioners are today being slaughtered on demand to facilitate theft of their organs and resale of those organs to foreign “organ tourists”. David Kilgour, co-author of the comprehensive report which sets out the evidence of this “new form of evil on the planet”, is interviewed on the film. Also featured are Zhang Kunlun, a McGill University professor and Canadian Citizen who, on a visit to China, was thrown into a Labour Camp and tortured for three years, solely because of his Falun Gong beliefs.
Former Justice Minister, Irwin Cotler, is also described as “speaking passionately” about the persecution of Falun Gong. I am also interviewed in this film on the subject of the Chinese “judicial system”, or lack thereof, my call for a boycott of the 2008 Olympics, and the collaboration of the Chretien and Martin governments with the perpetrators of the worst atrocities the world has seen since the days of the Third Reich in Germany.

CBC.ca: CBC to air controversial Falun Gong documentary
Last Updated: Wednesday, November 14, 2007 | 5:31 PM ET
CBC News
"Beyond The Red Wall: The Persecution of Falun Gong airs on The Lens, Nov. 20, at 10 p.m. ET/PT and on CBC Newsworld, Nov. 24, at 11 p.m. ET/PT."
A controversial documentary, Beyond The Red Wall: The Persecution of Falun Gong, will be broadcast on the CBC documentary program The Lens Nov. 20 after it was pulled earlier this month following a complaint from the Chinese embassy.
The film follows the story of Canadian Kunlun Zhang, an artist and professor at McGill University, who was arrested and jailed for nearly three years in a Chinese labour camp. It examines the Falun Gong movement and attempts by the Chinese government to quash it.
Director Peter Rowe said he was only informed hours before his film was pulled from the lineup on Nov. 6.
The switch came after the Chinese Embassy contacted the CBC, said CBC spokesman Jeff Keay. He said CBC officials learned that a Falun Gong publication had been running stories that touted the broadcaster as a supporter of the spritual movement.
The CBC requested certain edits to the film and Rowe complied.
"We determined that there were opportunities to make [the documentary] more journalistically solid and therefore more credible," Keay said at the time.

The lobby group Canadians Against Propaganda criticized the move, saying the Communist Party of China should not be able to impose any demands on the CBC.

BEYOND THE RED WALL: THE PERSECUTION OF FALUN GONG
Tuesday November 20, 2007 at 10pm ET/PT on CBC Newsworld
Beyond the Red Wall: The Persecution of Falun Gong focuses on the story of Canadian Falun Gong member Kunlun Zhang, an artist and professor at McGill University, who was arrested and sentenced to nearly three years in a Chinese labour camp.
Falun Gong, a method of exercise and meditation was outlawed in China in 1999 by President Jiang Zemin. Since that time it is believed by the Falun Gong, that thousands of followers of this spiritual movement have been sent to Chinese jails. There, they believe many have been tortured and even killed. There are also allegations, contained in a report co-authored by Canadian lawyer David Matas and David Kilgour, former Secretary of State for Asia-Pacific, that Falun Gong practitioners have been victims of organ harvesting in China. Chinese Officials deny all such claims.
Canadian filmmaker Peter Rowe makes his case for why the followers of this movement deserve our attention, in his point-of-view documentary Beyond The Red Wall: The Persecution of the Falun Gong.

Peter Rowe made 5 minutes' worth of changes, but CBC wanted more before tonight's broadcast

Peter Rowe spent three long years making a documentary about China's repression of the Falun Gong spiritual movement. But in some ways, the last two weeks have been more exhausting.
On Nov. 6, five hours before Beyond the Red Wall: The Persecution of Falun Gong was scheduled to air on CBC Newsworld, the Canadian filmmaker was informed it had been yanked.
There were whispers Chinese diplomats had voiced complaints. And the notion Beijing was interfering with Canada's public broadcaster – a charge the CBC categorically denies – generated headlines across the planet.
Beyond the Red Wall is scheduled to air tonight at 10. Mind you, assuming it does, not even Rowe will have seen the final cut.
"I was called on Saturday and told that they were making more changes and did I want to be involved, and I said, `No, I didn't,'" he told me yesterday. "I'm on to my other projects and enough is enough."
The network's tinkering – the film was still in CBC's editing suite yesterday afternoon – comes after a six-hour marathon between Rowe and executives last Monday, during which a number of changes were requested.

Zhen-Shan-Ren 03-13-2008, 07:35 AM NEW YORK – Chinese security agencies have been conducting large-scale arrests of Falun Gong adherents throughout China in recent months as authorities step up efforts to “stamp out” the practice in advance of the Olympic Games, in August, the Falun Dafa Information Center reported today.
In recent weeks, the Center has been receiving regular reports from adherents and their families inside China of door-to-door searches and arrests. According to statistics compiled from these reports, there have been 1,878 arrests across 29 provinces, major cities, and autonomous regions since January 1 of this year. In Beijing alone, 156 arrests are known to have taken place.
The Center released today a list of names and details of 67 representative cases of individuals detained in Beijing since December 2007. Out of this group, 16 adherents were arrested from Chaoyang District, which is set to host the beach volleyball and tennis events, and 10 from Shunyi district, the site of the Olympic rowing and kayaking venues.
“The International community had hoped that awarding the Olympics to China would spur an improvement in human rights,” said Information Center representative Mr. Erping Zhang. “But the facts on the ground tell a very different story. The Olympics seem to have given the Beijing regime a new incentive, and excuse, to hasten its abuses of citizens’ rights. The arrests make a mockery of the regime’s promise to improve its dismal record on human rights. It is now imperative that the international community speak up, leverage real pressure, and stop these deplorable actions.”

Thats ghastly man. As a practicing martial artist it infuriates me that this can be going on. The Fulan Gong never was a threat to anyone.
This shit pisses me off. Dude, what can we do to stop this? I mean the Chinese Government does not give a shit about people like us. They turn around and say that we are criticizing the chinese people. In fact I respect the chinese people, culture and civilization. But the government are run by a bunch of *******s.

Zhen-Shan-Ren 06-09-2008, 10:53 PM NEW YORK—The Chinese consul general in New York City incited a mob that violently attacked critics of the Chinese regime in Flushing Chinatown last week, a recorded conversation obtained by The Epoch Times shows.
In the conversation, Consul General Peng Keyu boasts about encouraging violent attacks on volunteers at a booth set up to allow Chinese nationals to quit the communist party.
The booth, in New York's borough of Queens, is staffed predominately by Falun Gong practitioners, and organizers regularly distribute literature detailing abuses carried out by the communist authorities in China.
"They came over after they fought with Falun Gong and I shook hands with them one by one and thanked them," Peng is recorded saying.

Zhen-Shan-Ren 06-09-2008, 10:56 PM "We have been coming here for more than four years, but we have never seen anything like this," said Ms. Chen. Ms. Chen said that CCP affiliated media outlets were interviewing people in the crowd. They then wrote articles claiming that by having the booth in Flushing, Falun Gong practitioners did not care about the earthquake tragedy.
"They cursed us, saying that we were traitors, that we are not Chinese, and they told us to die. They used very bad language. They also spat at us and threw stones. They held blood-red CCP flags in their arms and waved it—who today would walk down the street with that flag?" said Ms. Chen.
Ms. Chen was then physically assaulted. She recounted, "At around 11 AM, a middle aged woman started to curse us. I went to take a photo of her, but the woman tried to grab my camera. When I tried to protect the camera, the woman beat me.
"She hit my head, grabbed my neck, pulled my hands, and hit me with a fist; it was rude and quite atrocious. My hand was injured, and my mouth bleeding. In fact, it still hurts. There are fingernail scratches on my hand."
Ms. Chen went on to say, "She then walked away saying, 'You are American—If I kill you I am not afraid.' A man beside her added, 'You better be careful, I will kill you. I want to see your face clearly. I want to kill you,'" said Ms. Chen.

Zhen-Shan-Ren 06-09-2008, 11:02 PM A global petition to secure millions of signatures to support an end to the persecution of Falun Gong practitioners in China is to be presented to the International Olympics Committee in July, ahead of the 2008 Olympics in Beijing.
Organisers of the petition, the Coalition to Investigate the Persecution of Falun Gong (CIPFG), say the Chinese Communist Party (CCP) has continually contravened human rights conventions in its ruthless suppression of freedom of belief, speech and media in China.
The petition particularly focuses on the last nearly nine years of the CCP's chronic crimes against Falun Gong practitioners throughout mainland China, which include unwarranted arrests, forced detention in labour camps, torture and murder.

NEW YORK -- With the International Olympic Committee having admitted prior consent to the Chinese authorities to block access for foreign reporters to certain websites (article), the Falun Dafa Information Center, in cooperation with Internet freedom activists, hereby offers journalists in Beijing a resource to gain free access to information during their stay in China.
The tools available on the Global Internet Freedom Consortium (GIFC) website www.internetfreedom.org allow anonymous, secure access to public websites normally accessible outside of the CCP's filters.
The Global Internet Freedom Consortium (GIFC) is an organization founded by Falun Gong practitioners, offering tools that allow anonymous, secure access from within China to websites normally accessible outside of the CCP's filters. The GIFC's secure gateway services handle over 90 percent of the anti-censorship internet traffic from China and Iran, amounting to more than 400 million hits per day.
The tools available on the GIFC's http://internetfreedom.org website are the very same tools that millions of Chinese citizens employ to access information blocked by the CCP. They operate by scattering web requests across a dynamic network of servers outside China, then re-assembling the encrypted data into a normal web page on the user's computer.
