a couple of reasons here

Referendum

well the referendum on citizenswhip was overwhelmingly passed. i think everyone (including me and my brother seán) on the no side are in disbelief at the overwhelming result. it was basically 80% yes and 20% no which was higher than nayone ever expected.

we're in shock here especially as the government did not release any figure on which they were basing the refendum on.

co. louth was the second highest overall Yes vote with 82.8% voting yes and there was no constituency with below 70% yes

though i was in a pub with 4 friends last night and out of the 5 of us, it was 80% yes

let's hope that's a reflection of how the europeans will go

if it was the peace activist eoin dubsky would get 40% and the reality tv show host mairead mcguiness would get 60%

Gig last night

ok, me , my brother Seán and a friend of ours where suppose to go to a gig in drogheda. so my mother decides to give us a lift up in the car as it was easiest so we get to the venue and we're told that the gig was cancelled some time ago

obviously not enough time to:

- inform the star newspaper that the gig wasn't on as it was featured on the gig guide on friday
- inform hgotpress as it was featured in the most recent hotpress magazine which was only out this week
- inform the sellers of tickets ticketmaster as they were still selling tickets online for the gig on saturday afternoon
- have the music artists tour dates on his website updated to inform fans of the band that it was cancelled
- to even hgave a message on their website telling people that there was no gig for a few weeks
- tpo pla\ce an ad in the mid-louth independent even though the employess told us their was one in it

it's annoying to travel 15 miles and to find out afterwards

This just hasn't been a good month for you, has it?

nah wouldn't say that, that happened back in June

but yes august has been a bad month

i've paid about 80 euro in doctor fees (as opposed to the previous life time fees of 0 euro)

plus also 750 in college fees

so it's notbeen a good month financially

My August has pretty much sucked all the way around too, but thankfully it's almost over.
