h2g2Fan 06-12-2004, 02:28 PM If you find yourself using a product, invest in it.
Ponycar_302 06-12-2004, 02:28 PM Yeah, that's what I did. And then some.

With gas prices the way they are, motorcycles are getting more popular.

Good idea. I'm going to buy up some Honda though, and cover both the motorcycle and small car base in one shot. :nice:

Buy low, sell high!

**** that. I bought like 3,000 shares of Sun Microsystems and lost my ass. I had to sell that and buy Ford at a higher cost to make it up.
BTW, Ford and GM are way up. Ford is up 11.37% (just sold 200 shares, but kept some) and GM is up 9.03% (just sold 300 shares of that too). Chrysler is sucking hind tit and I'm down $54 on on that 300 shares. I'm dumping 250 on that as soon as I break even.
h2g2Fan 06-12-2004, 02:43 PM I made thousands on Krispy Kreme.
Ponycar_302 06-12-2004, 02:45 PM At $21.68 a share you'd have to invest ten grand to do that. Somehow I don't believe you've invested $10,000 in doughnuts.
Betty 06-12-2004, 02:47 PM The Atkins diet has been hurting Krispy Kreme...
h2g2Fan 06-12-2004, 02:51 PM I meant to type "I've eaten thousands of Krispy Kremes."
Ponycar_302 06-12-2004, 02:51 PM You guys should give this a try. Ever wanted to invest $100,000? Well, you can. Come play. :)

Malcolm Wright 06-13-2004, 12:01 AM If I were in your shoes, I'd either buy some real estate, or do something adventurous and unique with the money like make a film.
I am not comfortable with the idea of supporting corporations simply for my own capital gain.
You can invest your money in things that have meaning, and more meaningful outcomes than the simple enrichment of a corporation.
But its your money and your life.

I don't actually have the cash in hand. It's make believe from that game in the link above. If I did have the cash, I'd use it to buy property for retirement.

I am. :D But like I said, I'd be ready for retirement before I even invested a penny. Only invest what you can afford to lose. ;)
