The FBI and the Cass County Sheriff's Office are investigating a possible hate crime, after a woman said she was beaten, sexually assaulted and had the letters KKK carved on her chest in an attack in Bivnis, Texas.
The 32-year-old unidentified black woman said two white men, with sheets or pillowcases over their heads, approached her last week as she was walking home in Bivnis, about 152 miles east of Dallas.
The woman said she was attacked last Wednesday evening, when the two men allegedly called her a racist name, chased her in their pickup and knocked her down by opening the truck door.
They then reportedly kidnapped her and held her captive all night, before releasing her the next day.
The woman also said the men threatened to target her 13-year-old daughter next.
