The www.straightdope.com message board has horrific censorship. This is a very PC board, and no avatars or pictures are allowed. They do not allow reprints of articles and talking about filesharing is off limits.
Of course, I have been banned numerous times from there, to the point where my IP address has been blocked. I would like to know how to change an IP address because I really would enjoy screwing with them, and especially two monitors. One monitors profile is "SDMB death angel". I mean this bitch truly enjoys banning people. She calls people "trolls" and "lurkers" and kicks them off.
I am a denizen of many message boards and I have never been banned from any of them, except SMDB. I do not think they have a right to do this, if they are offering a free service. The internet is a free domain in the cyber world. Unfortunately SDMB is North Korea. The moderaters also go out of their way to study IP addresses of users.
It is OK by me to argue with me, if I make a statement that you dont agree with. Call me names, I have been tagged with them all. But to ban someone for having a point of view, or to argue against the status quo is bull****, in my opinion. This is what his message board allows and theres does not.
Go look at that their sterile MF-ing board. The people call themselves "dopers" and claim they are fighting ignorance. Feh!
