Smooth! Docs Say Senator Kerry Looks Botoxed
by Alexandra Wolfe

When the question was put to Massachusetts Sen. John Kerry on Boston talk radio station WRKO AM 860 on Jan. 28, speculation had been percolating for a week:

"Can you categorically deny the reports that you have used Botox or other kind[s] of cosmetic surgery or cosmetic enhancements to your appearance," one of the hosts of the Blute and Scotto show asked the presidential candidate, fresh off his New Hampshire primary win.

"Absolutely, I've never even heard it," Mr. Kerry responded. "I've never even heard of it."

Whether the senator was denying he'd heard the media reports insinuating that, somewhere between Iowa and New Hampshire, Botox injections had erased the ravine-like worry lines traversing his football-field sized forehead, or, more improbably, claiming complete ignorance about the plastic surgery procedure that has been in vogue since the 90's, a number of doctors interviewed by the Observer said they were certain the candidate had had some work done.

Oh, come on. That is incredibly minor. Lots of people get work done and lie about it. It's a FIB.

Rather than a potential President lie about it, why not just say "its none of your business"?

I would respect that much more.

Double standards are alive and well...

LOL. No double standard.
I don't see Bush walking around all drunk, do you?

Kerry, on the otherhand, flat out denies the botox when its clear he had somehting done..

The point is, why not just say none of your business?
I could respect that answer.

Bill, I think the point is, this is irrelevant.

You know damn well if he said 'it is none of your business' you'd be making this thread, and saying the same things. You'd take his 'this is personal' comment and take it as an admission of guilt.

like I said in a previous thread, if this, or him snowboarding, or doing whatever is all the right has to try and keep him out of office...they will lose.

Not at all. I would respect a "none of your business" statement.
Whether or not he did is his business.

It's pretty evident that he did so why lie about it? Why not just say NOYB?

Who gives a rat's jacuzzi whether this man wants botox!?
im a democrat(applause), and i think this man is ugly, he probably just wants to look like Edwards...

Anywho, in the Detroit Free Press there was just an article about how mainstream such minor cosmetic procedures are becoming, ill try to find the link for you all. Plus, my father runs a small laser cosmetic and Botox buisness in my hometown, and average ppl are getting fantastic results that drastically improve their live.

Sorry, you're not allowed to discuss Trade Relations with the Sub-Saharan continent, as that might actually be relevant. Let's go back to Presidential Cosmetics for $400, Alex.
