Vice President Dick Cheney has some nerve.

This is the man who has helped define the Bush White House as a secretive lair by convening a panel of experts to determine America's energy policy and refusing to say who they were and who has sat strangely silent as the Defense Department charges his former company with providing inaccurate and incomplete information about its costs,

And this is the man who's intimating that Sen. John Kerry is lying?

First things first: Environmental groups have alleged that the task force Cheney used to develop America's 2001 national energy policy was influenced by industry insiders with vested interests. A U.S. District court agreed that the Sierra Club and Judicial Watch could see task force records to determine whether Bush contributors such as notorious former Enron CEO Kenneth Lay were involved. An appeals court upheld the decision, so the Bush administration filed an appeal with the U.S. Supreme Court. Arguments begin this spring.
