The candidate's claim that he met with foreign leaders looks like boldfaced lie, says ACU's Lessner

Alexandria, VA – John Kerry's claim that he met with foreign leaders who urged him to defeat President George W. Bush looks like an outright lie, said Richard Lessner, executive director of the American Conservative Union in a statement issued today.

"Senator Kerry has had two weeks to verify his claim that he met with foreign leaders," Lessner said. "He has failed to do so. He has been unable to substantiate his outrageous assertion or offer any proof that this is anything more than a total fabrication.

"Exhaustive investigations by various news organizations have pretty much proved not only that John Kerry has not met with any foreign leaders, but he has not even had the opportunity for such meetings.

I don't see how this even compares to Bush's lies about the Iraq war.

Travel records indicate that Kerry hasn't left the U.S. since 2002. Did he meet these foreign leaders in Internet chatrooms?

Of course its a lie.

Furthermore, does he really think that what the leaders of france and other axis of weasel nations want is going to help him in the US?

If I were him, I'd be keeping this quiet, if it were even true.

Bush did not lie about the war. Bush has never lied to the American people that we know about.

And, uhh, the Bush administration has not been able to substantiate claims of WMD in Iraq after a year!

I do wonder if it is true or not, but I don't think thats a big deal.

Out of curiosity , what do you think of Kerry telling an audience member in one of his town meetings, when asked to name names, that it was "none of his business"?

Turns out this audience member has since been threatened and had some of his property destroyed for having the nerve to ask.

I think thats dispicable.
