Senator John Kerry revealed an ugly and poorly controlled side of himself when he thought he was off-mike this afternoon while speaking with AFL-CIO union workers in Chicago:

Sen. John Kerry, all but officially the Democratic presidential nominee, called Republicans he is battling "crooked" Wednesday. ... "Keep smiling," one man said to him.

Kerry responded, "Oh yeah, don't worry man. We're going to keep pounding, let me tell you -- we're just beginning to fight here. These guys are the most crooked, you know, lying group of people I've ever seen."


I bet the Kerry supporters just love this kind of garbage eh?

I am/was not a Kerry supporter, but I agree, a lot of the higher ups in the republican party are crooked. Just wish he'd look at all of Washington too...

Kerry is saying this of EVERY person who opposes him. Bush was just saying Adam Klymer was a jerk and EVERYONE who knows him would agree with that ... even HE said it was probably true if I remember right!

White house spokes people have come out and said such a comment by Kerry shows his unprofessionalism and is unbecoming for a presedential candidate.

Bush's comments, from 4 years earlier must be taken in similar light, I'd think. Regardless of a specific versus broad generalization, the comments are unprofessional.

Man, you guys are petty. They're all dishonest. They will all take the money and run if they don't think they'll get caught.
