FLETCHER, N.C. — Four months ago, depressed and prepared to die, Kirk Jones sent himself sailing over the Canadian side of Niagara Falls.
Today, he's a member of the Toby Tyler Circus, billed as an oddity alongside Ziggy and Iggy, the two-headed pig.
Jones, 41, became the first person to survive a plunge over that side of the falls without wearing any sort of protective device. A 7-year-old boy survived the plunge with a lifejacket in 1960.
