View Full Version : McDonald's History: The First Franchise in Harlem

When McDonald's opened their first franchise in Harlem, some of the McDonald's higher-ups were a little worried that Black kids wouldn't "jive" with the funky clown. They were told not to worry because a clown is "universal".

Apparently, this wasn't so true because on opening day, a group of wild kids chased Ronald McDonald down the street, punching him.:(

Your posts are beginning to stink of SPAM.
While "Mickey D's" may be the ghetto bistro of necessity, most intelligent adults regard the fare as nasty.
Are you genuinely obsessed with this corporation, or merely earning your Big Macs through this forum product placement?

Actually, McDonald's did test market a new breakfast meal made of Spam in their restaurants in Hawaii.(more) (http://www.ananova.com/news/story/sm_605725.html)
I had the opportunity to try one of the McDonald's Spam breakfast's, and mmmmmmmmm....it tasted GRRRREAT, just like everything on the McDonald's menu.:D

I love the smell of Spam in the morning...smell's like breakfast!

Eh, Schultz, ever been chased down the street, getting punched? Like mostly in the head? Any other major head injuries to report? Any history of concussion or scull fracture?
