so I dealt with this total fuktard at work yesterday.
He wouldn't let me finish a sentence as I tried to explain to him that his computer is not supported but we could send someone over as a favor to check it out while he insisted that it was supported.
He was beligerent, rude and nasty.
I did not raise my voice to him but I did change the tone to match his.
The conversations ended like this:
fuktard: I want this problem fixed now!
Me: I want to finish my sentence so I can expl...
fuktard: interuppting I don't want to hear your sentence I don't want to hear another word from your mouth. I don't care what you have to say. Just fix my pc. You have nothing important to say and I am sick of dealing with idiots like your department.
Me: ok I will send someone over to take a look at your pc at some point. I will be talking to my manager about your 'concerns'
fuktard: fine! *CLICK*
Me: blood pressure about to make my head explode *go to my boss and let her know what happened.*
Now a few minutes later an email comes into the helpdesk email account (which I am watching for the week) and it is sent to the President of ISD as well. Basically saying how he is sick of our beligerent helpdesk and so forth.
I complain about this to a few of my coworkers who have had dealings with this guy before. My boss gets a little ticked and I go to her later and aplogize if I over reacted slightly with some of the things I said about this situation to my coworkers.
she said "Yes you put me in a difficult spot."
DIFFICULT SPOT!?!?!?!? we have a guy here who punches the wall and slams the phone done when a user calls that is less than computer savy. This is the FIRST time I have voice annoyance at a user and I think I had every right in this case.
I am sick of it here. my Boss doesn't stick up for her people, many times we have stuck to policy with a user often getting the user anrgy at us only to have her tuck her tail and bow to what the user wants....going against policy. This makes the people who work the phones look like asses!
I hate this! I have been working here for 8-9 months now and I don't even have my own phone line, I am sharing someone else's. The boss doesn't seem to care about morale here, we have a guy that has been here for 3 months now and is still asking the simpliest questions that I have given him notes, handouts and explained to him a hundred times already (how do I map a network drive?) and the only reason she hasn't gotten rid of him yet is because she hired him herself and if she fires him then it may look bad at her decision making skills or some crap.
Now this fuktard problem has risen and I think more is coming from it as my boss said she has to talk to her boss about it and has to listen to the phone recording.
I have always been uber polite to the users, even the most unreasonable ones and the one call that I get snarky back at a user is the one they want to listen to.
All I can say is I am glad I keep every single email of praise of me that gets forwarded on. I also keep the negative ones. My negative folder has 0 emails my positive one has about 20.
