Did you select the option to upload a new avatar?

If you're having continued issues, you can feel free to email me the picture (manu@discussanything.com) and I can set it when I get home from work.

Here is what you do, i learned this after trying a million times

you upload your pic, THEN when you come back and it has the file name in the box, you need to go up above it and selcet "yes" to use customer AV, even if you do it befor you select wich file to upload.. it will change it...

I have a ton of avatars I searched for, and had been using them, but now wit the new ones you all made, it keeps putting them. I have tried all my avatars and can't get past the one that is on now.

I jsut go to the place I have them stored on my CPU and load them, correct? I have always done it this way, but it won't work. I found a new one and wanted to try it out.........like to switch you know!! ;) Now I'm stuck with this goofy face.......weeping.. :(


I just hope no one thinks I actually look like this........sniff.

I think I gotta yell at tam, he did this! No, I think it is a buggy part of the software...

Here's what I did to make it work...

Click on
1. User CP
2. Edit Options
3. Change Avatar
4. Select No (you do not wish to use a custom avatar)
5. Press Submit
6. Click on Edit Options/Change Avatar again
7. Scroll to the very bottom
8. Click Yes! (you want to use a custom avatar)
9. Press Browse
10. Sleect File/Press OK
11. Hit submit.

That should do it.

Well, I got it back. It was difficult......won't load from my CPU any longer. I have to go to the website I got them from, which is a pain. But, I noticed it won't take a bmp avatar. You know..from paint or whatever. Too bad too, as I really liked it. Now if I could just figure out how to convert paint to gif or jpg.

Can Tam make a way for the custom avatars he made not to automatically load? Not sure how it works.

there are ways to change the type, post it and I am sure someone can change it for you

mom, if you email me the bmp or so (tamir@tamir.nl) I'll put it up as a working avatar. I'll also look into the problems you've been having. It's mainly the software thats causing it though, i think
