jonnyofthedead 02-18-2004, 03:45 AM Currently reading towards a combined BA/MSc in chemistry at Cambridge. (And yes, that is supposed to say BA - my university's got some very old and very curious traditions).
I can't imagine wanting to do anything other than chemistry, and certainly hope to work as a chemist when I graduate.
lilnymph 02-18-2004, 04:52 AM I studyed Physics and Manchester university, and despite having to support myself all the way through, I loved it, best time of my life. However my work now has nothing to do with it, which is a shame

I went to Central Connecticut State University, yo.
Going to college was the best decision I've made in my life (I wasn't sure I really wanted to go).
I studied business, major in Management.
I am using the degree now. If it were not for college, I would not be where I am today, and I am doing pretty darn good. :)

I went to Penn State (Fayette campus). I started with a degree in Liberal Arts and realized how worthless it was, so I switched to Architectural Engineering. I dropped out when I realized that Architectural Engineering doesn't pay as much as corrections. I would have had to take a minimum of $5 an hour pay cut and loose my medical coverage if I worked for a private firm. **** that. Now that pay cut would be around $7+.
I'd like to have a nice shiney degree hanging on the wall, but not at the expense of being poor. :D
I'd like to add that I went full time to college, worked full time, and was a full time father and husband all at once. I have little tolerance for whiners that complain they need to study for a few tests or how rough they have it in college. Try studying with two hyper kids after an 8 hour day of work.
And I had to walk to college.... up hill .... both ways.... in the snow.... which lasted all year! You don't know tough!
Did you go to college? If so, where?
Yes, The Hague University of Professional Education (http://www.haagsehogeschool.nl/English/)
Do you like the choice you made? (to go or not to go)
Yes, I would've ended up at the local Micky D without it...
What did you study?
marketing/economix
Are you using that degree in your current field?
there is some very mild overlap but other than that, no..
Kyle Gridley 02-18-2004, 08:29 PM 1. Clemson University.
2. Yes, but the time/effort/money could have been better spent.
3. Bachelor's in Computer Science
4. No.
coral100cor 02-19-2004, 02:15 PM MA in psychology - Jerusalem university.
Who knows why.
Didn't find better idea.
Work in it.
I attend the University at Buffalo. I'm in their school of management (top 30 in the world oooo ), and I am double majoring in Political Science.
I'll probably take a year off after graduation (2008), and join Americorps or Vista to pay back a semester (oooo) of my student loans, and head back for either an MBA or my JD.
I think I'll do something either as a lawyer, or in consulting, but it might be too boring..we'll see. I basically have a goal of getting enough revenue under my belt by the time I'm in my 30's, so I can start something socially conscious-not sure what yet.
Am going to UCLA. I am happy im going, studying astrophysics, will likely not use it.
Allegra 02-21-2004, 01:57 AM I went to Occidental College for my undergraduate work and majored in Theatre.
Right now I'm at UCLA getting my Masters of Education in Counseling and Student Affairs.

When to University College Dublin as a mature student studying history. Got a scholarships to do a PhD. in either Cambridge or the European University Institute, Florence Italy. Took the latter option (idiotically) .
Do you like the choice you made? (to go or not to go)
I regret not doing a masters, and my choice of graduate college and thesis topic. I think I will probably drop out/look for a job in the next few months before I'm bored silly.
