Is the only way to post pics in a thread to have an online site hosting the pic somewhere? Any other way to post a pic?

I mean, I can upload my custom avatar with no problem, but to post a larger pic in a thread, do I absolutely have to have it already uploaded elsewhere first?

Yeah, sorry Dave...it needs to be uploaded somewhere else first.

The reason we have file attachments turned off....money...

The file attachments being on would shoot the bandwidth needs WAY up and make the site a lot more costly to run.

Im currently looking at a solution for this, where we can have a web based upload utility on a 3rd party site...not sure if that will happen though.

Thanks, Manu, I used to belong to a bunch of places that were free, but they all either went belly-up or starting charging for the service... :(

A good place is geocities. Free account. Just name your file Image.txt instead of image.jpg

Some of the car sites like The Corral and BimmerForums offer available space too, not sure if they link as easily though....?

Try netsnapshot, it's free and you can store alot of pics..
