I'm trying to find a second source of income. Something that I can do in my spare time & something where I don't have to pay for someone to watch my kids.

I'm considering trying the "Mystery Shopper" route.

Has anyone here done that...or done the work from home thing & had a positive outcome??? I know many of them are scams, but are there any good ones out there???

There are a lot of 'pyramid buying schemes' to look into. They are mostly legit, but they are oftentimes hard to get going. But basically it is selling X amount of product and then recruiting people to sell products...

You get a cut of what you sell but a bigger cut of what your recruits sell...

I know a few people who do it on the side, 5-10 hours a week, and make a few hundred extra bucks a week. I also know people who made not a dime.

My wife tried this many times. There are offers of working at home. Weve all seen them... "Make $1000 in one week", or "You can earn cash instantly out of your own home". I have found that these are mostly scams. They want you to buy a kit which could cost one or two hundred dollars.

I remember getting Carlton Sheets kit after my wife begged me after she saw the infomercial. That was really a scam. You make money buying and selling real estate? Not my thing.

My wife tried one of those - painting on glass plaques (to hang in windows etc) - but the firm kept rejecting the work and she had to keep buying more supplies (from them...)
