Of the formal, I got 2 of them. Of the numerous phone ones "most" is the best I can describe. I usually feel, especially in my field, if I get an interview, i have at least a 50/50 shot at the job. They already know my skills/qualifications, then whats left is a knowledge type test along with a personality like test... Assuming the first goes well, the second is a no brainer for me. beatlebabe 01-20-2004, 02:02 AM I've only not got one job I've been interviewed for, and I was pissed about it. It was for working in a clinic, with great pay, benefits & banker's hours. I still watch to see if anything like that opens up again :( Zaphod Beeblebrox 01-20-2004, 06:57 AM The last 9 months: 36 applications 2 interviews 0 jobs PFDarkside 01-20-2004, 07:13 AM I've had two interviews that I didn't recieve an offer at, the rest (9) I either declined or began working at (since age 15). Manu 01-20-2004, 03:45 PM Err 1 and 1 success more, forgot about my horrible psychology job :( Baboon 01-21-2004, 09:29 AM For the white collar professional jobs, I only went on one face-to-face interview where I didn't get the job, and holy crap did I completely TANK on that interview. There have been a couple of telephone screening interviews where I never got a call back, probably because I was asking for too much money. That said, I have "interviewed" with a bunch of professional recruiters, maybe a dozen or so. But those interviews are really more of "get to know you" interviews, as you do not actually interview for a job. Criminal 01-22-2004, 08:01 AM I would say 7 interviews to one job offer. My advice is never to get discouraged. Rejection is all part of the game. |
