Alright

Day 1: January 1st, 2004

last night, i stayed home. i had one can of Bulmers in the fridge. I decided to drink that around 11pm 31st December 2003. *It was finished aorund 20 past 11

the next few weeks should be easy. The hard point will be tuesday 27th of January. My class atr efinished the january tests then. The last exam is finished at Noon so it'll be hard

but as bill o'reilly said in the introduction to his new book, that we all face hurdle, it's how we handle them that define life

i was out last night. i wasn't drinking alcohol. i was drinking orange juice and then later on, i was drinking coke.

jme and my friends were also in 4 pubs last night so it was a veyr good night

one friend when he saw me drinking orange juice, asked why. when i explained to him the reason. he replied "oh you were serious about that"

and than a friend of my brother's was pissed at me drinking minerals. but i rdon't really liuke this person so he doesn't matter. he would be the type of pewson, bill o'reilly described in chapter 2 of his new book when in a pub, if your not drinking, the" booze hounds" will jnot like you

i don't care what he thinks

yeah i was in the bar today and despite people asking me to drink alcoholo, i refused and i fought the power, i put the proverbrial middle fringer up at authority

i was sober, at the minute i'm tired but i'm happy. i had a good time and that's what5's important.

also i think i spent less than i would have done drinking and i was longer with the pints (of blackcurrent) than with alcoholic beverages

i'm still off the beer.

also i found two things.

1. my frirends have no configence in ym ability. the fact that i have made a 10 euro bet with one person on whethe ri'll drink alcohol this year or not, shows this. though he wasn't confident enough to make it 50 euro where as i was. But no, alot of my freiends think i will fail miserably. it's kinda unnerving

2. bar workers tend to be more supportive then my friends. 2 instances. one i was asked by a bar lady why i wasn't drinked. i reply ruthfully. she seemed impressed and happy about it.

another bar man/bouncer said "good on you, if you can keep it up" previously

whereas my friends have been very negative about my giving up of alcohol

i think there involved in the kenned assanation :D jk

4 months on and i am still off the demon drink, much to the shock and amazement of all my friends

i've even started incorporating anti-alvcohol messages into songs that i'm writing.

An Irish Edgeman, eh?

But than again do girl's find men that don't drink attractive? i wouldn't say so.

Yes. ;)

I think a lot of chicks like non-drinkers (or, more, SXE guys) because they can be fairly sure that the guy is responsible and isn't going to embarass them or screw around while drunk.

EDIT: Two years and one month since I last drank.

thanks Joey.

irish edgeman? yes. Dublin zoo rang me up offering me a place as one of their star attractions :D jk

one friend has been unhappy about me not drinking. 2 weekends ago when i was in a pub, this friend in the first ten minutes of me arriving said avbout 5 times "ahh this bulmers is lovely" to annoy me. how supportive.

but last tuesday night, i was with 2 friends in a pub. me and one of them were talking between ourselves (as the other had gone to the tiolet, not because we're ignorant) and he said anyone who thought i couldn't keep up the not drinking doesn't know me at all well.

come to think of it, he's been always one of the most supportive friends when it came to me giving up the drink.

i'm actually really happy with not drinking. i don't actually think i'll drink again. i'm happy with this. it's alot better than getting pissed

Now, we just have to get you off acid-wankery rock and pop-punk onto some real music and you'll be one of us...

Tell me about it. I own Limp Bizkit CDs for Chrissakes...

Download these songs:

Minor Threat - Straight Edge, Out of Step
Earth Crisis - Firestorm, Gommorrah's Season Ends
Project X - Straight Edge Revenge
Throwdown - Raise Your Fist
Chain of Strength - True 'Til Death

You know you want to...
