Seriously i am thinking about giving up alcohol for the new year

it's not that i go out fdrinking every week,

it's mor ethat when i go out , about 25% of the time, i end up making an ass out of myself and this is alot of the time

it's really for me a choice between slowing up my drinking or giving up it altogether

all my friends say i drink like a fish soslowing down the drinking would be hard

so i think that going cold turkey may be the best option

also it's hard, i want a girlfriend. Whre i drink my pronunciation goes to hell so i can't like talk to any girl properly. And girl.s don#'t like drunks.

But than again do girl's find men that don't drink attractive? i wouldn't say so.

I've decreased my drinking quite a bit over the last few months.

I went cold turkey for a month, and then slowly let it back in, but in decreased amounts. I've almost completely given up beer drinking except in social settings, and now mostly stick with mixed drinks.

A period of cold turkey really lets you reevaluate what effects alcohol really has on you.

interesting point. Thanks :)

i think a friend of mine does that occassionally. he would give up beer and then have a date inwhich he starts drinking again set (like a birthday or an anniversary of his relationship)

You get guinness straight from the brewery and you're giving it up!? What a waste of living in Ireland! :)
