What kind of government (international and domestic) regulation is needed for our future?

Are current levels enough? Should we lessen regulation to allow cheaper energy/developing nations?

What should we do regarding reliance on fossil type fuels?

The typical Republican stance on the environment is disgusting. We're getting oil in wildlife refuges, killing dolphins, you name it. We need to put more pressure on industry to develop new technologies that prevent further damage to our environment. Put pressure on the automotive industry to create cleaner, more efficient cars. Put pressure on the fossil fuels industry to clean up their act and stop polluting. Put pressure on the shipping and manufacturing industries to have them stop polluting as well.
