Do you want/did you have a giant wedding? A small wedding? Was this cost dependent or 'what you want' dependent?
What would your 'ideal size' for the wedding be?

Unless you like lots of gifts That's why we have UPS, buddy. :nice: Personally...ceremony should be the bare minimum of people, but the party can be as big as you can afford. 302Riz 12-04-2003, 09:04 PM Going to go for a smaller wedding... We are only going to invite close family and friends and some co workers. Red 12-04-2003, 09:40 PM i'd go for a small wedding... close family and friends... i was never a party type of guy so i don't think i'd like a huge quest list. Manu 12-04-2003, 09:50 PM My sisters wedding this summer was about 200 people...thats about 100 people more than I'd want, I think. But, between some family, my good friends, and close family friends, its basically unavoidable... CatDancer 12-04-2003, 10:00 PM My first wedding was pretty big - 300 people. My 2nd wedding - we wanted to get married on a cruise with just our maid of honor and best man present - but my Mom put the kibosh on that. So we had a small wedding, about 100 people or so. It was great! dhaas 12-04-2003, 10:04 PM It becomes such a huge expense. With my friends and most of my family up north I wouldn't want to make anyone feel obligated to come to my wedding. Plus at $75-$100 a head it's tough to have enough money to get the stupid thing off the ground. 302Riz 12-04-2003, 10:17 PM No matter how we cut it, We will probably have atleast 100-150 people at our wedding since my girlfriend and I have a relatively large family. Monster 12-05-2003, 02:52 AM Yeah, I was thinkin' about that, and since I'm attracted most often to Irish and Italian women, I've got about two chances of having a small wedding. Slim and none. and Slim left town. Ponycar_302 12-05-2003, 02:55 AM Have a small/smallish wedding and a huge reception! Ask for monetary gifts instead of toasters and ****. :nice: P.S. Zach, did you blow bubbles when you were a kid? Rayney 12-05-2003, 10:33 AM Id go for a relatively small wedding and a huge piss up afterwards :D Manu 12-05-2003, 09:02 PM Yeah, thats a good point, re: reception versus wedding. But, really I was meaning 'everything' when I meant how big was it. I don't care who goes to the cermony versus the reception. Space allowing, I'd hope everyone I want at the reception would go to teh wedding too. |
