So what do you like to nosh on while you're knockin' back a frosty mug of "Angel Pee"?

Where I work (and make up the menu) we concentrate on simple, fresh, home made pub chow. It aint the Ritz but almost nothing comes out of a package.

Standards are the big lean Burger with REAL fries.

An 8oz Striploin sandwich. (we butcher our own steaks to keep the cost down.)

Nachos & Quesadillas made with our own chilli (Chunky Texas style or Veggie) We also make our own salsa but I've been told it's more of a pico de gallo(sp)

BBQ'd wings. NOT DEEPFRIED! We sauce 'em, bake 'em and finish 'em on the char grill. They take a while but they're worth it.

The Clubhouse is made with roast chicken and bacon and stands about 5 inches tall!

We have a store bought veggie burger (meh) but we also offer a sandwich with lettuce, tomatoe, peppers, onion, cucumber, sprouts, cream cheese & garlic mayo. Personally I like to throw a BBQ'd chicken breast on this one when I'm REALLY hungry.

How about you folks?

What's cooking at your local?

Wings, deep fried and hot!

Chicken strips (deep fried)
Cheese sticks (deep fried)
Polish sausage (those little pickled ones in the jar.)

You guys don't know what you're missing. Real redneck food. Nothing nouveau about it. They would never go with a MaiTai.

These are my favourites so long as the wings and salsa are hot. :nice: I like excuses to chug.

Do you still have pickled eggs in PA?

I haven't seen them in years. I know they seem gross but they're actually not too bad.

Hellacious farts though.

Hmm, I generally don't eat while I'm drinking, if I get hungry I suppose peanuts or pretzels will do. Cheese sticks are good. 'Finger foods'. :)

When we hang out at a bar, we usually call it quits and head on down to Denny's or Ihop. :)

I love pickled eggs.... I've never seen them "in the wild" though, just at my grandparent's house.

All the great Irish dishes (plus some not so Irish ones) at the pub. :D
Corned beef sandwich
Fish and chips
Beef stew
Shephard's pie

Burgers
Wings w/ awesome hot sauce
excellent steak...

In every bar. I didn't mention them because I didn't think anyone would know what they were.

Never share a campfire with someone who eats these things. On the other hand, it may do some good keeping predators away. :|

I go to a bar to DRINK, not eat. If I wanted to eat, I'll stay home. The only time I'll eat at a bar is if there are snacks (chips, pretzels, etc.) on the bar. For some reason, I can't eat while I am drinking. I need to wait until I am done drinking before I can eat. Don't know why.
:) :) :)
