It's all the great taste of the big three American beer bottlers only without the alcohol!

Does anyone actually consume any of the stuff? I've never had it, and can't imagine a situation that would actually motivate me or, for that matter anyone to consume it... yet it still is stocked on my store shelves.

What gives?

A friend of mine in elementary school, his dad drank the stuff all the time.

I never understood why...

Non alcoholic beer is terrible. I drank it once when I was 16. Never drank it again.

On a school trip to a sewerage plant in Munich, there was a beer dispensing machine, and one of my classmates bought a Helles, unfortunately, what the machine dispensed was non-alcoholic beer. That was the first and last time I ever drank it.

Can't say I have ever had one but I don't think people would want the beer taste without the alcohol to make it disapear.

I do believe it's often used by (former) alcoholics to lessen withdrawn symptoms.

I made some once, for a friend who no longer drank...but missed beer. It tasted like crap, but she drank it anyway.

Talk about a waste. Five gallons of beer destroyed.

You know, if there was a non-alcoholic Tetley's or Boddington's, I'd drink it instead of pop.

Yup. My father drinks it for that reason.

There isn't enough alcohol in non-alcoholic beer to help with withdrawal symptoms.

Non-alcoholic beer is just a way for the liquor industry to make more money off drunks. It's like decaf - like taking your sister to the prom.

What's next? Non-alcoholic vodka? Non-opiate heroin? Non-THC pot? :p
