I'm a big fan of beer... all kinds. I even appreciate the Buds, Coors Originals and Milwaukee Best Ices... but I love geed beer.

Buggy, I find that the benefit of going to light beers is very minimal for the loss in taste. Even Guinness is no worse than a Budweiser. (Which is 20 calories more than Bud Light) Another thing, one "drink" is equivalent to about 100 calories, maybe a bit less. So when you find a beer with low calories (Ahem, Miller Lite) You'll find a really low alcohol percentage.

Sam Adams Lager, Sam Adams Golden Pilsner, Lebatt Blue, and Red Stripe.

I also love German Pilsners and Weissens, but you can't get any good ones here in the States.

Miller Lite *cringe*. After a few beers, any beer tastes great, except that one!

I am actually more concerned with carbs. A twelve pack of Smirnoff Ice had like, 1200 carbs or so... yowzah.

In Australia I usually drink Cooper's Pale or Dark ale. Cooper's is the best Australian beer IMHO.

You chug it fast enough, you get a nice buzz going :nice:

And my favorite drinks are gin straight and crown royal straight. There is nothing better than just drinking one of those two staright. But Budwiser and Miller High Life is my favorite beers.

No but I hate people who tell me that they drink light beer becuase it has less carbs. Well if you were really conserned with watching carbs, you probly shouldn't be drinking beer. Just an opinion. Now I will drink it when it is out of a keg and there is no othere beer at the party but I still don't like it.

If you want potent, go Everclear or Moonshine! 190 proof for Everclear and Moonshine is always a question. I did 5 shots of everclear one night then drank about 8 beer. It was not a good morning that next day!!!!!

There is obviously a demand for low carb beers if they're made, right? Ok.

If you're drinking so much, you'd probably be better off drinking normal brandy. Cognac is just expensive brandy from a particular region of France and if you're puking off it, you're wasting your money.

Drinking Hennessey in Guiness is just conspicuous consumption. I defy you to note the difference between a shot of reasonable and inexpensive brandy (eg St. Agnes from Australia) and Hennessey in your Guiness. Hell, you could probably get the cheapest, nastiest brandy you could find and not taste the difference.

If I could afford it, I would drink 'Steinlager' from New Zealand. Unfortunately, around here( I think), it's over $50.00 a case. BOO! I got from a bar I used to go to about eight years ago and it was on special at $26.00 a case. Than it went up to $56.00 a case. And... that's what the bar paid. I also like Guiness Extra Stout (on tap-by the yard).
I usually drink Milwaukee's Best Ice. Cheap and gives a good buzz. 5.9% alcohol by volume.

Wow, no tequila shot drinkers. My father used to make me 'tequila-honey-lemon' tea when I was sick with fever. As I got older, he'd add a shot to the 'remedy'.
