My best friend just made a bet with me. She thinks weight has nothing to do with being desirable. I think she’s definitely wrong, and that if I gained weight than I wouldn’t get hit on as much.

So she made a $250 bet with me that if I gained weight, it wouldn’t change anything.

I am so gonna win. :D

You're gaining weight for the ability to potentially earn $250?

You're one hell of a gambler.

My metabolism is fast enough, that I might not gain very much at all. And also whatever I do gain I can burn off quickly once it's done.

I've had someone specifically tell me that if I were to gain weight they wouldn't like me anymore. So...

A.) Your friends is dillusional. Fat chicks or not desirable.
B.) You are a dumbass if you purposly gain weight to become less desirable. $250 is not worth it. It is alot harder to lose the weight, then to gain it. You will look worse, feel worse, and could also hurt you emotionally... leading to eating more and getting worse.

This is by far your stupidest Idea.

If I were in a relationship with you, and you gained a bunch of weight I would probably dump you.

I for one prefer a chick to have some meat on her bones.... particularly the ass and chest bone(s) :) Good luck with the bet :nice:

I was just thinking about emailing her a link to this page

Then I'd possibly win the bet, without having to gain an ounce :)

If you became fat(ter), and I was in a relationship with you, I may not dump you, but there's a much higher chance that I'd cheat on you, find another person more desireable, and then dump you.

Face facts. Men tend to place a certain amount of importance on whether or not women arouse them. We like sex, and if looking at you does not make us want to have sex, then you lose sex appeal and thus desirability. Yes, if you gain weight you will still have male friends, but far fewer than you once did since most of the time, a guy will befriend a girl only because his attempts at hitting on her were misinterpreted.

Xach is correct.

***GUY'S DO NOT SEEK FRIENDS THAT ARE GIRLS***

Most of a guy's "girlfriends" are attempts for a relationship (Sexual or Meaningful) that failed. I have no fat girls as a friend. Not just because of looks, but because most have become bitter and jaded against the world or have zero self esteem, causing an extreme lack of interest.

...and lets face it, most guys look as a girl as a trophy. Look what I got guys!!! If you have a less than attractive girl you do not want to show her off.

Maybe I'm being rude, but every guy here knows I am right, wether they admit it or not.

Ok I called off the bet.

There was something else I just thought of, that I didn't think of before.

The health issues...Carrying around a bunch of extra weight puts alot of strain on your heart and various other organs.

So no weightgain for Christy

And Jason just called me and told me if I gain weight, we're done. :(

That said, it also shows a terribly superficial nature of his relationship with you.

Most guys who are in relationships that extend beyond the physical would voice their dislike of the weightgain, attempt to encourage the woman to exercise and lose the weight, work through it with her, etc. (at least, that's what I'd do...) No positive points for Jason on this one.
