It is so basic, yet works quite well at letting the corrupt and greedy into power. By focusing on the two parties, people are split between extremes, although not quite opposite.

And the reason why this works so well is because of our ignorance. Left or right, choose a side, or just vote how you feel. By people limiting their minds, they choose a team, and defend their own, and attack the other. By maintaining this attitude, we limit our choices, and with it, further growth of this nation.

The only reason why the two groups have power is because we continue to give it to them. And with so much power comes the coruption.

Although I am sure it will never happen in my lifetime, a partyless system is my answer. Vote for the individual, not the team.

My younger brother has had a project in school to make his own government/ country, etc. I found it interesting, and helped him a little. And I was thinking it would be intesting to create your own country. I wonder if you had enough cash, if you could buy land from a country permenantly, and declare the land a new country. Im not sure what the rules are...but an interesting idea.

I have thought about that sometime...

But wouldn't the host ogvernment view that as succeeding from the nation?

I am not sure...

And you're damn right, I hate the two party system too...

Things will get damned interesting once a third party gains more popularity in the US

 As much as I would like that to happen, its a false hope. The two parties are far to strong to stop. Unless the system is changed to a partyless system, which the two parties would also shoot down.
