View Full Version : 9/26/03 It's official, we got a record deal
igofast 09-26-2003, 12:51 PM As of last night when we all agreed at practice, walk the line has a record deal. It's not a huge deal, just a one record agreement (which is actually what I prefer), that won't pay much, but it'll get our CD in stores, more clout and recognition, and it should open some doors for us.
It's slightly surreal knowing I'll have a CD in record stores, music has been a huge part of my life for years and years and I never really thought I'd be able to be a part of making it. Yet here I am.
The CD should be out in January, with two more songs we plan to record in the meantime, making 11 songs total.

It's probably because we already had an idea that it was probably going to happen so when it was confirmed, it wasn't that big of a deal. :)

i presume it's a small independent label, how many bands would be on it altogether? 4 or 5?

We'll be four. The owner has a magazine with the same name and has been focusing mostly on the magazine since he started the company. He's recenly decided to put more effort into the label, signing us and looking for a couple others.
