I actually did something I'm quite proud of. I told my father off. Which might not seem like a big deal, and something I shouldn't be proud of, but my Dad is horrible. Anyway, him and my Mom called me this morning while I was getting ready for work to bitch at me. He likes to get down on me because I'm now 25yrs old, unmarried, and don't have any kids. He started in on his normal tirade of how I'm not making anything of my life, and I should've already had kids by now. This was our converstation after that...

Me: Why? Why do I have to be married?

Dad/Mom: *silence* Because then you'll be happy

Me: Since when does marital status dictate happiness?

Dad/Mom: *silence* Mom: You need to listen to your Dad on this...he's right

Me: What? You have not proven to me why being married would make me happy. I am happy right now with my life, and I don't need you or Dad to bitch at me about what I do. It's my life, and I say what makes me happy, not you.

(My Mom got off the phone after that)

Dad: Look your brother is already married and he has a child. His life is worth something now.

Me: And mine isn't

Dad: No, you have not done one thing in your life that is worth something. You're life up to this point is worthless. You've done nothing and are nothing.

Me: Well Dad, I love you, but **** you, and I'm not putting up with this bull**** anymore. If you can't call me without bitching at me about how you hate my life, then don't call me ever again.

and then I hung up. I've never swore at my father like that, but I'm tired of him. He does nothing but try and bring me down. :(
