But not untill things chill out there. I say just last year the Church of the Nativity was occupied by armed Palestinians and beseiged by the Israeli army. Bethlehem was the site of some real nasty stuff.

No, Nazareth was his boyhood home. His earthly father, Joseph was sumoned to Bethlehem because a census was ordered by the Roman Emporer Tiberius and all citizens had to go to the towns of their people. Because Joseph was of the house of David (a decendent of the King of the Israelites) he was sumoned to Bethlehem in Judea where David was also born. Later, because of an edict by King Harod that all male infants be killed, his parents fled for Egypt. Later they returned to Nazereth where Jesus lived and worked in his father's trade.
He was born in Bethlehem in a manger. Christmas. Every detail of the story of His birth means something. You run into it in other parts of the Bible.

I'd like to go just to see if Messiah Complex is real or not. If Christianity can inject song or tongues into my being then maybe all of the mythology is worth something.
