Why do I always ponder things so early in the morning? My brain just activates in the morning and I start thinking about all sorts of stuff.

Like today, my thoughts were on maternal instinct. What causes some women to have such a strong maternal drive, and others not? Is it genetic? Chemical balances within the body? Or is it how you're brought up as a child? If your mother was very nurturing, does that mean that you will also be a nurturing mother?

Well it's not just me I'm thinking about. I have a pretty strong maternal drive. But other people I know, have almost none. Even though they have kids, they have almost no drive to take care of their offspring.
