I'm currently watching Pearl Harbor on DVD and I was wondering a couple of things.

1. When FDR asked Congress to declare a state of war, were there any Congressmen who voted against war?

2. The attack on Japan at the end of the movie; was it real, or made up entirely for the movie?

More questions possibly coming. On to disk two.

Found the answer to #2. The attack did happen. Click here to read. (http://www.ibiblio.org/hyperwar/AAF/rep/Doolittle/Report.html)

I'm not sure but I remember hearing or reading something one day that said that there was 1 member of Congress who voted against declaring war. I'm not at all sure on this though.

The Doolittle raid did happen. Some of the american airmen were captured by the Japanese and after a show trial were put to death.

the dolittle raid did happen, and I believe the vote was pretymuch unanimous because what happened was prety hard to just let go.
