This would be at a hotel in Valencia, CA, so check your Mapquest (http://www.mapquest.com), kiddies. Saturday, January 5th is the date. Intended games are:

Starcraft (and Brood War)
Quake III
Unreal Tournament
Counter-Strike
Return to Castle Wolfenstein
Mechwarrior 4
Combat Flight Simulator 2

A quality burner will be on hand. The party will have a tiny cover charge to help pay for the place and the necessary LAN Party booze. More exotic forms of game enhancement will be available for a small additional fee. The cutoff is 12 people, and we've already got 5 for sure and 5 maybes, so let's see some posting!

Remember: You'll need to bring your own power strip and at least 10 feet of CAT-5. This is a HEADPHONES ONLY event, due to the fact that it will be taking place at a hotel, so leave your 5.1 speaker systems at home! :p

I'm going to be hammering out the details of the room cost on Monday. I do know, however, that we're capped at 12 people, due to hotel policy. Actually, hotel policy is 5 people in a 2-bedroom, but I used to work there, so that shouldn't be tough to bend. Also, if this is really successful, mycol michael and I will be planning a much larger event, working-titled DeceptiCon '02b. Oh yes, the children will be beautiful.

Yeah, customs WADS will be allowed. As well as special maps with no gravity. This will be a hoot.

Nothing solid. mycol michael is in the process of summoning a greater demon to divine for us the best way to go about the arrangements. All eyes on this thread for further announcements.
