Madonna's new video is an insult to our troops and to our President. Throwing a grenade into President Bush's lap? She has to be kidding. Let's sell all of our AOL stock, destroy all of our Madonna's music, never buy another one again, and cancel your AOL subscriptions (it's too much money anyway). Let's make a point. She nothing but trash anyway. I'm tired of these "stars" disgracing this county.

Write to the Directors of AOL, and them know about your feelings.

I hereby pledge not to see "Swept Away," or whatever that movie she made last year was.

Does that help?

Hahah! Did anyone even watch that?

I could never understand the Madonna madness. I actually know a dude who went to one of her show years ago on a date. He had no interest in Madonna and was just trying to get in the pants of the chick on the date. But subjecting oneself to Madonna's disgusting act is a high price to pay for anything! ;)

I haven't seen it and I don't plan on seeing it. I'm sure that only reason that she did it though was because no gives two s**** about her anymore and she feels that if she does something scandolous(sp?) she can sell more records.

This is actually the edited version of the video, guys. The original cut was supposedly a LOT more graphic.

Radio shock jocks and daytime TV have been proving it for years - lotsa people love trash. And they'll devote their time and money to lowering the cultural bar.

I saw the original Swept Away, Italian, directed by Lina Wertmuller - 1975.

http://www.amazon.com/exec/obidos/ASIN/6304192258/ref%3Dnosim/lksmsubsite-sub-vd-asin-20/002-7519420-9049648#product-details

It was kind of trash, but oddly captivating. What saved it was the focus on the psychological aspects and the odd humor.

I haven't seen the remake, nor plan to, and I doubt I'll ever see that Madonna video either. That is not my typical fare.

Wertmuller's 1976 film, Seven Beauties was quite good too if any get around to catching it.

I know, I know...

Buggy sums it all up. lm8077 you have asked to protest damn near everything under the sun. I am a very much for this war, however, you have put more threads in here in the short time you have been a member than it had seen at all before. :D Chill on the boycots a bit. We want to improve our economy, not stop buying every damn thing.

Madonna pulls 'war' video
11.19AM BST, 1 Apr 2003
Madonna has decided not to release her controversial video American Life which features her throwing a hand grenade at a George W Bush lookalike who then uses it to light a cigar

The video, which sees her dressed in combat gear, was due to be shown on TV channels later this week but Madonna has now decided it would not be appropriate to release it.

She said: "It was filmed before the war started and I do not believe it is appropriate to air it at this time.

Yeah, I won't see Swept Away either -- but mostly because I heard that it was crap! :)

But otherwise, I think Madonna rocks. She has gotten a little crazy in her middle-age though. That fake British accent is super annoying. However, I appreciate the fact that she pushes the envelope whenever she can.

I totally support her and her right to make the video she made. And good for TimeWarner for being brave enough to release the video in the first place.

Hey IM8077, thanks for giving me a head's up about something I need to go see!

Monopolyphobism. We need to get rid of that hateful word too! I have to admit, that I am a big modannaphobic, and when my kids were home if they even thought of entering house with her albun, I threatened another albun burning at the stake! We had already lit up Ozzi, AC-DC, Prince, and a couple I forgot name of. Oldest daughter ran away, but got hungry and came back. who
