I like to make this from time to time...I lost some interest once I worked as a cabnetmaker for a while.

But I still have a cheap little lathe, and its fun to play with.

Ooohhh, man. I'm really trying to get into it, I love working with my hands, just ask any girl I've dated! But seriously, its pretty freaking expensive. It all started when I got a power drill to help my mom with some stuff in the garage, and I've added a circ saw to my tools so far. I want to start soon! Just moved into a new place, and I want to build my own desk, but don't even know how to start. I can make a desk easy, but the question is will it look good, ya know? Got any pointers you can give me?

I made a desk for the laptop to sit on. Hope to build a headboard for our bed one day.. hard to find them in kingsize!

I got a rotozip thingy for christmas, hope to put it to more use soon!

Try watching that show Trading spaces on TLC, you can get lots of neat ideas for cheap and easy things to make.
