If you don't give the supporters any air time, the crap will stop. If theyy drag it into unrelated threads, ignore their post like it wasn't there. DON"T GIVE THEM THE SATISFACTION OF AN AUDIENCE! After a while even the dimmest fool realizes that shouting at a wall is futile.

They're not doing it for an audience (unless to get a few more supporters)--they just like to argue the case over and over again. I too would like too see more political issues in the political thread, but I don't know what to tell you. Sorry.

What I cant get over is: the foundation of this country is being blasted to bits by a non-elected monarch and his non-elected cabinet who are working around the clock to set up an untouchable police force and these mumia "activists" choose to alocate soo much time to defending/researching this one ridiculous case. These people are RE-tarded. Mumia (guilty or innocent) is nothing compared to the travesties of justice the "Justice" Department is being empowered to commit. All their bitching isnt going to save Mumia, if they were serious theyd either bust him out of jail or be studying up on the law to mount a trickadero legal appeal. Alot of these guys are nothing more than Rage Against the Machine fags playing revolutionary citizen or "internet activist" (whatever the hell that is), the same screw heads who voraciously consume the pre packaged "revolution" crap being pushed by the entertainment and fashion industries. Its a joke, get a life worth living. And its like hell, if you are interested in saving someone why not take the time to scrounge up some funds to help feed and medicate some of the countless starving childern around the world, your efforts would be able to affect some real change there. Or cut to the root of the problem and start reforming the government and systems that breed poverty and death in the first place. Bithcing about "Mumia" on the internet is worthless. Theres a million things you could be actually DOING to help real innocent people. Or if you feel helping political prisoners/the wrongfully convicted why not help the West Memphis Three or Leonard Peltier? Their cases are such glaring travesties of justice that a little publicity goes a long way.

Oh and equally silly are the "anti-mumia" crowd. Its like hello? The prosecutors office doesnt need your ****ing help. If you have a problem with black people then join the Klan. If you simply love cops, then organize a benefit for your local police. If you are into law and order why not get involved in neighborhood watch, volunteer your time to chaperone kids in the park, be a big brother for an at risk kid, or get involved in prisoner support to help cons reintegrate peacefully into society.
However if you simply disdain passionate or politicized people willing to stand up to precieved injustice then go suck a ****ing nut. Arguing against Mumia isnt benefitting society, hes already on ****ing death row.

I try to find out were his supporters are posting lies on the internet, so that I can show people the truth. I apologize that it was brought to this forum were it wasn't welcome, but I refuse to allow the lies to be posted without a rebuttal.

Certain people like to start new threads about the case, were I mostly (I said mostly) just respond to threads which were already started.

For the record Nikon, I don't think it's so much the discussion about Mumia that we all mind specifically. It's the way that SOME Mumia posters conduct their debate & the way there has to be 10 threads on the same damned subject. Then as has also been pointed out, there's the way it spills into other, completely unrelated threads as well.

Wow! I think you are assuming a bit much here. Not all Mumia supporters are solely dedicated to his cause. There are a lot of people who support him who are active in many political arenas.
Those that are solely dedicated to Mumia, are the people who actually know him.

He is an innocent man and incredibly incredibly intelligent, I think it says a lot about our savage nature that anyone would want to kill someone like him..

The judge in his trial said he'd help the police "fry that n*gger". The Philly pd back then was made up of hardcore thugs, racists and murderers, I don't see how anybody could think he received a fair trial in that climate.

and i use to think what you think until i considered a few things. like even if he did have another trial and was found guilty everyone who supports him now would probably ****ing riot in the streets and make things worse. not that this should stop true justice from taking place and if it is warranted then please let a retrial commence.

but if he ever is and is found guilty a second time...everyone supporting his freedom should apologize and drop the issue. i dont mean the people who weighed what they know and think he really does deserve one, i mean those fanatical people who only see "black inmate, white cops" and dont bother to weigh the facts and came to the "free mumia" conclussion in a logical way.
