Lets talk controllers... which ones do you like? how have your favorites been set up? Ill talk a little about the Gamecube controller... I dont know about the basic one that comes with it (I never touched that one) but the one I bought is NICE... the way the L+R buttons are, and theres even a little rest for your middle fingers... my only complaint is the Z button is a tad akward, but Ill get over it (The Z button is essentially where the R button was on the N64 controller) The emphasis on the main A button is nice as well...basically the controller setup is...

A joystick, with a directional pad below it... then seperated from the D-Pad is the C-Stick (which generally controlls the camera), then above that are the buttons... there is a large green A button, and around it are 3 buttons of varying sizes all designed to look sleek around it... the red one is B, the y button is above A, and X is to the right... Youll find your right thumb moving between the CStick and the buttons very easily and your left thumb working the joystick... what about the L+R buttons? Well thats nice too... now the rests for your index fingers behind the controller are actually triggers as well...

Its nice...

Although alot of user reviews complain about the reaction time and such of the controller... its a third party controller put out by INTERACT, though the basic one isnt much different in design...

im all about the xbox. The PS and PS2 controllers feel cramped. N64 had decent controllers. The Dreamcast I loved. The Xbox controllers are a lot like the DC ones. The built in rumble is GREAT. Much better than teh N64 with rumble pack.

I LOVE the idea of 9ft cords instead of the standard 6ft. And I LOVE the breakway cable idea...

(that and the controllers are powered by USB!)

They are all a lot better than what I had in the old days, the old school square grey blocks attached to my origional nintendo. My thumb is still screwed up.

See it still looks pretty damn massive and unwieldy to me, remnant of the dreamcast much... which I despised...but I guess I shouldnt knock it till I try it...
