Well, I am going to be making some stickers. I need a design. There are some rough constraints.

We can only work with three colors. Red, Black, White. (that means no shades either) One of those colors is not inked, but a background. Remember you can simulate it being used as ink by having nothing above it. Shading can be simulated in a similar manner by having every other pixel, every thrib pixel, etc colored.

I am not sure if I want to go with a half a page sized sticker (or maybe 1/3) or with a more standard 'banner' sticker that would be like 1" x 6"

Try your hand at both if ya want! Try straight text. Logo and text. Whatever! BE CREATIVE.

Please do all your work in a high res mod and shrink it down to post, as the printers will want a high res version.

The designer of the sticker we end up using will recieve a few free stickers and an @discussanything.com pop3 email address!

Thanks!

And actually a friend just showed me a place that has semi affordable FULL CMKY color printing...2500 prints for 225 or 250.

The 225 is for 2" X 6" (bookmark style) and the Higher price is for 3.5 x 5.5

SO GO CRAZY.

Lets see some 3 color, full color, whatever color designs!

I also may eventually do a 'postcard' run and get 5000 postcards to be made...

Soo....lets go crazy ;-)

Please leave an 1/8" border around the thing, to give room fro cropping. If you're making a 2" x6" design, leaving 1/16" is fine.

Actually, depending on your printer, you don't have to leave that extra space. If you go to print options, you can choose to crop it an extra x pixels/in/cm... from the border of your art, instead of you having to do extra calculations like making your picture 2.25x6.25, and you can even do the CMYK info if you want to as well. Note to people who change their graphics to CMYK, you'll have to do a little touchup work, the prints usually come out a little darker than you expect them too.
