jwreck 08-14-2003, 02:11 AM If it ain't the Red Cross, it ain't legit.
whoswho 09-25-2003, 08:18 PM Troops still in my thoughts and prayers. And hoping Iraq will be libereated and start to prosper soon.
I know in order for good to overcome evil, sometimes we have to have wars. But I sure don't like to hear of the deaths on any side of innocents.
Yet I do think that this war was legal. Only time will tell for sure. who
Honeyed 01-24-2004, 11:32 AM Hi, I know this has nothing to do with what is being said at the moment. But I am a Novel Writer writing about The Second World War, and with the permission of my neighbour, I am using her story as the romance bit of it! for some reason people don't like to just read war. Anyway, before I do on too much! I wnted if anyone could help me, I have tried contacting young soldiers of today for thier views and comments, but all I get is Dating websites for military! And of course there is always a fee! So if anyone could help me I would appreciate it VERY much.
thank you
Honey

Columbo2u2 02-06-2004, 10:18 PM On a more serious note. our troops are still there and still fighting and losing lives. No matter our possition on war lets honor our troops . And hope that war ends soon for all involved. granny
Banky 02-06-2004, 11:11 PM The commander of the Marine Force that went into Afghanistan in 2001 was an old pilot I served with, Andy Frick, off Iran in 1980.
The local paper of his town did a story on his wife, and printed her address!!
I am glad because I was able to contact her and have her tell him I said hello, but it was insane! When I finally got to her, (had to leave a message the first time) she had already told her husband of the newspaper, and he was righteously fuming!
There were a ton of Marines, old and young, willing to die for his wife for a while! Printing her name and address in the paper, the wife of the Military Commander who was wiping out the Taliban???!!??
WHAT IDIOTS!:bang: :slap: :eek!:
Columbo2u2 02-06-2004, 11:33 PM It was probly a lib newspaper, they are usually on the side of the enemy . granny
