Alright... so my brother is in the Air Force and I'm so proud of him. It really bothers me that people are so anti war and completely disrespectful of the fact that there are people risking their lives for their freedom to do everything that they do and they don't even think about that. I feel bad for the people who have been overseas, risking their lives, fighting for their country and when they come back they have to put up with people complaining about the fact that we may go to war. Anyone else have relatives in the military that this bothers? Or anyone that is in the military that this bothers? Or if you just have a comment about this or whatever, that works too.

Those of us who are opposed to the United States being at war against Iraq are not against the men and women in the service. On the contrary. I have a neice in the Army Corps of Engineers and a Brother who works for the Air Force. I certainly don't want to see anyone get hurt. I don't want to see young americans die. That is why I am anti war. Our protest is not against the men and women in uniform, its against our President and all others who are putting human lives at risk.

I understand what you mean, and I'm not saying that I want to go to war and want people to die. But think about it, people die whether or not we go to war. People died in the 9/11 attacks not because of the president, they died because of terrorists. If we did nothing and just ignor the fact that they did that, it would open us to more terrorist attacks which, would in turn, lead to more American's dieing. War isn't the only place that American's can be killed and people forget.

I havelearned the hard way, that most websites are leftist liberal,so if your looking for commpassion for our troups, better go to a military site.
I have a son overthere now,and I have have had some reallymean remarks from lots of people, but,I'm older, and try to stay on puter in case he emails, and I can feel closer replying back and forth.
Some people do have concern and aot of good questions that need answered about this war,but I think it came to no surprise it was comming, and then was the time to protest, not now! This only serves to lower moral and cause our troups depression. It's not going to stop war,no more than it did Viet Nam.Alot of protestors"not all" are cowards who only use our brave men and woman to get attention dircted at who the hate,"Bush".
I too have many questions for Bush, but since I have no power to stop the war,I support our men and keep my objections for when our troups are home again.
Some have already started calling them babay killers,"AGAIN".And tormenting their children in scholl with leftist %@#$#*&^(% teachers.
Makes you wonder where the heck they were when all these WMD were being built, and traded all over world,by us and others.who

We'r all anti-war! But when our countrymen are in war in a far land, it's not the time to protest, unless you think you really can stop it! Why pick out one part of a reply to reply to.Go back and read again.who

Who, I would beg to differ on that. This board tries to be ballance. I think its probibly more right leaning though.

I think most mainstream message board are quite hostile to leftist though.

There are a few, like the old rage board and artist direct which are for leftists like me but they are rare.

I hear ya my friend.

I think now definately IS the time to protest. Lets get out and make as much noise as possible. Do it peacefully and without hate, but dammit lets protest long and hard!

Remember that America is all about protest!

I have to say... totally agree with you, we should be cheering for all the people in the military instad of protesting when they're fighting for our rights. If you wanted to protest you should have done it before we were at war!before

America isn't all about protest, it's about freedom. Which yes, you have a right to protest but think about how you would feel if you were overseas risking your life for yours and other peoples freedom and when you came home there were people complaining about being free!
