check this out:

my friend read somewhere that, in a majority of relationships, When people end a relationship and begin a new one later, they pick up EXACTLY where they left off physically in the last relationship. is that true for anybody?

*hehe* well, i'll be damned.

hmm, what ya mean?

Like jump right in with the BJs? Or etc? I personally physically start off each relationship slow...

i mean, like, if you've gone to like second base with your last chick, and now you're with some new chick, chances are (for MOST people, not all) you're gonna jump right to second with the new chick. i have to say it's kinda true with me but i've always been slow in relationships so that makes sense why i've never been jumped on (or jumped on anybody), despite how fast it feels like we're going.... ok, no one needed to know that...

but is that truth for others?

Ummm, yeah...

WAY too much info, but, anyway...

I prefer slower starts until I know a little history. Have no desire for the gormet disease of the week... or worse...

in my experiences (as lovely as they are) the longer you wait, the longer it will last, and the more emotional it will become.. you can't help the emotions but you can choose to keep them inside..

the more you get is the less you want..

but yeah, going too fast in a relationship almost dooms it too fail and to be a "one-nighter".. truthfully I would rather get to know that person before I even step up the plate

I believe the ever-so-wise people at Pringles coined the phrase:

"Once you pop, you can't stop."

Not that I advocate jumping into sex too quickly, but come on people, let's be realistic. If you were getting it on a regular basis before, you're gonna want it ASAP with your new, improved, and amazingly hot boyfriend (or girlfriend, as the case may be). At least that's true for me anyway...

If all parties are disease-free and ready to go, why be frustrated?

:D

The whole base system is really kind of ridiculous. From a kid's perspective, it makes sense, I guess, since there's a stigma of mystery surrounding sex, and you generally want to tread lightly into unfamiliar territory. Boobies may spread cooties, so that's not a light step to take. But when it comes down to it, there are things that feel good and things that feel really good and there are things that feel really really good that aren't even included in the system! Virginity is not a commodity, kiddies. In the words of the Red Hot Chili Peppers:

"How come everybody wanna keep it like a Kaiser? Give it away, give it away, give it away, now!"

i don't think i really agree with that. i like to take things slow, normally. though i must say that i broke up with my ex who i was sleeping with and two weeks later started dating the guy i'm currently with and slept with him a week after i met him so i guess in a sense that was picking up where i left off, but its not always like that...its just how comfortable i feel getting naked with someone, which takes me forever.

Heh, already got a boy . . . 2 and a half . . . and he has found out which cats allow tails to be pulled and which ones will slap the buhjeezus out of him. He's also learned the dog WILL lick his face off if given the chance. And, my proudest moment so far, at the tender age of 2, he learned how to properly pick up a snake . . . GOT PICTURES! Ask Lisa . . . :D

The BAD thing is that he knows how to put keys into an ignition . . .
