View Full Version : Protesting McDonalds
Johnson 02-18-2003, 06:34 AM I am planning a protest in front of my Local Mickey-D's. A huge percentage of their total profit goes to Israel and Zionist organizations.
Thinking of just making a huge cardboard sign with facts and figures, and a headline that says "Say no to Zionism, say no to mcdonalds" or something and standing outside of their door for a few hours one day.
now, i do eat there, im not happy about their politics, but i love an egg mcmuffin in the morning.
curious of reactions.

That's somehting I wasn't aware of. Do you have any figures?
Shawn 02-23-2003, 07:09 PM I'd like to see the figures or a reference as well.
Shelter 02-23-2003, 07:27 PM I personally could care less what a private company does with their money. :)
Ponycar_302 02-24-2003, 06:01 PM I heard that the Jew owners make hamburgers out of kangaroo meat and use child labor to make french fries. Ronald McDonald is supposed to be a parody of our white government too! All of those "playlands" are to brainwash our white children in the Zionist ways!
Don't get me started on the true meaning of Grimmace......
Shelter 02-24-2003, 06:14 PM And the hamburgular POny dont forget him. Secretly a jew in a mask whisking away free hamburgers as he is afraid to pay for them. Some poor white child prolly starves thanks to the charater..:D

You can't have it both ways. Stop eating there first. KInd of tough to complain about their multi-culti politics (which are disgusting) while eating their food (which is even more disgusting :) )

Pick a group who you oppose in every possible way.
Suppose Micky D's supported that group.
Would you still think that way?
Would you still eat there?
Shelter 03-03-2003, 03:18 AM Yes Kyle I would. What a private corporation donates its money to is its business. So long as it violates no laws, I could care less. I am not into the protesting thing cause they disagree with me. So long as they dont do anything to infringe on my rights, they can continue to recieve my money.
Scott 03-03-2003, 03:51 AM I think more of an issue is the slashing and burning of Rain forests for cow grazeing....
Frank 03-03-2003, 04:03 AM Now hold on, If McDonalds was raising money for Iran or Iraq, I doubt most of you would be taking this attitude that what "private companies do with their money is their business."
Personnally, I boycotted McDonalds because I felt that the food was crap.

financing saddam or any other terrorist organization is illegal. of course i would be mad and maybe take action. but other than that, i could care less where it goes... would you want someone to ques and harass you over your freedom to make monitary donations? you guys would make a big stink about it i'm sure.

hahaha:nice:
nice one frank
Shelter 03-06-2003, 03:21 AM If they were doing something illegal with their money then yes a boycott would be fine. Otherwise, they are doing what everyone else in this country does, which is spending their money on whatever the hell they want.

It's not an issue of caring, but would you infringe on a private corporations right to do what they please with their earnings? Protesting is our right, I agree. Sending money to whom they wish is theirs.

Dreamscapist 09-24-2003, 03:42 PM The only effective vote an American has left is that of the dollar spent. If you disagree with a corporate entity's actions or statements, deny them your patronage and shop elsewhere. Too bad we can't just stop buying Bush burgers and make that clown go away.

What would you call those Israelis driving American-made bulldozers and crushing to death American peace activists? Murderers.
Remember Rachel Corrie.

you're talking about the accidental death of one girl who failed to move out of a dozer's way. how many people have the palestinians killed on purpose? the number is in the hundreds.

Right. She was wearing an orange safety vest and screaming through a bullhorn when they "accidentally" dropped the shovel on her, "accidentally" ran over her, then "accidentally" backed over her again. And the next day they "accidentally" broke up a memorial service for her. "One girl" sacrificing her life for peace efforts may be disposable and of no account to you, but it is a horrendous crime to me. Just as it is a horrendous crime to bomb civilians, whether it is done by Palestinians, the IRA or the U.S. invaders of Iraq. Historically, it is clear that the Children of Israel stole their "promised land" from the Palestinians, who have the right to fight for its return, but not by cowardly means...for it takes a coward to plant a bomb or crush a little girl with a huge machine. But the most reprehensible are the Americans who supply the bulldozers to destroy the homes of civilians.

America supplying bulldozers to destroy homes? LMAO. we don't sell construction equipment to countries to destroy homes. after items like that leave our hands, we cannot control how it is used. if a country chooses to use the equipment we sold to them in an destructive manner, that is not our fault.

The bulldozers were part of an American aid package to Israel, paid for with American tax dollars. They were supplied specifically for the purpose of destroying Palestinian homes. Still laughing?

I could point out that Amnesty International has condemned and called for an end to this U.S.-funded demolition program, but that's not what you're looking for.
How about a journal for Northwest Indiana, an area near the Caterpillar home office in Peoria, IL:
http://www.thetimesonline.com/articles/2003/06/09/news/porter_county/ae6e9bd8d847e6b186256d3f007e78c7.txt
"Most Americans need reminding that about one-fourth of all U.S. foreign aid goes to Israel. "Since 1973, Israel has cost the United States about $1.6 trillion," estimates Thomas Stauffer, consulting economist in Washington, who specializes in the Middle East. "The lengthy dispute with Palestinians has cost the U.S. taxpayer more than the Vietnam War," he says.
Besides the budgeted $3 billion, Israel is asking for an additional $4 billion to cover its costs fighting the intifada, for Caterpillar tractors, tanks, bulldozers, etc. Also requested is more than $8 billion in loan guarantees. Stauffer thinks, considering the Israeli economy, such bonds will never be repaid."
I wouldn't bother looking for corroboration in U.S.-controlled news sources such as ABC or CNN, but will later post any independent sources I can locate. Still, you cannot deny the huge amount of financial aid the U.S. allots Israel, and it is obvious to all what they're spending it on.
