I hate rap.. I don't mind some of the more hip hopish stuff, but it has to have a nice beat..

anyways, the skizel to my izel song is getting old.. well it's been old, but they still play it every 10 min.

"H 2 da ez0, M 2 da ezA.. I got my skilzal in my nizell down in bezil you shizel..." I don't know the words.. b/c for one thing.. they ain't words... *scream*

thanks for listening

I am vastly out-number by people that I work with that like the song.. I just don't get it.. wtf is so good about that song.. it's lyrics, it's doesn't have music, it's not even words... there is no talent.. just saying a bunch of kiddie shit and he's a millionair.. good gawd.. if I ran the world they could never do that again..

I hate that song too. And it makes it worse that people I know come up to me and say things like, "shizel my nizel." I don't even know what they're talking about, but apparently it's pretty hilarious to them.

Chances are they don't have a clue what it means either... Probably just thinks it sounds cute:rolleyes:

Well at this point I'll listen to anything if its not Staind or Creed. I swear I can't turn the damn radio on without hearing one or the other. Atlanta FM radio is an utter farce.

Aha, I see rearrange. That is the problem. Jay Z writes tunes that are addicting. I remember when that hard knock life song came out.

I am a fan of old school rap. :D

Its Jay-Z, and the lyrics are "H to the Izoo, V to the Izza." Which is H-O-V-A. Hova is another one of Jay-Z's rap nicknames. As in J-Hova, like Jehovah. Alright, ghetto terminology. Off the hizzle fo shizzle mah nizzle = Off the hook for sure, my *****. Off the hook means really cool. And Jay-Z wasn't the one who started the -izzle craze. That was Snoop Dogg.

I say fo' shizzle my nizzle all the time

I am just SICK of radioin general. It is amazing how they just DRIVE songs into your mind. I get sick of the same song being played 10 times a day for a month.

I am getting sick of the same kind of music from every band.

I am getting sick of great bands selling out so they can be radio stars.

I am getting SICK of the 'type' of fans that radio makes.

It is so disheartening going to a kickass show but seeing a bunch of teenie boppers getting dropped off (or accompanied!!) by their parents and then screaming and wailing at the top of their lungs.

Go home. We don't want you.

Sigh

well, i think the only remotely related thing i say to that is "chilliz, bizzitch" to my friends (but i got that from chris/ guitarophile, so it's fault for influencing me)

but, dude, f**k, that is SO true. i don't even listen to the radio anymore, i can't stand it: it's either that damn similar Creed song (you know, the one that sounds like all their other songs), or Staind (don't get me wrong, they're good- but christ!! lay off the airplay!!), and just rap these days.......... it's all down the f***in' tubes. old school rap is the only kind i listen to. but i tend to keep myself shltered from pop culture like that by soothing my ears with cds (bought or made). so i very much feel your pain, manu.

but the solution is simple: DON'T listen to the radio. DON'T buy their cd's. it's a simple non-direct protest to their crap and izzo bullshit. or you can just tip over the KIIS van next time you see it ;)

Awwww, she almost called me her friend!

And actually, it's "Chill, biznatch." I, in turn, got it from my friend Mike, who got it from his friend Brad, who got it from teevee or something. Go flickin' figure.

I was rudely forced to listen to the radio today. It was a harrowing experience, but I managed to slyly switch the station to ARRO, a classic rock station that actually plays the only radio-friendly music I like. The thing is, I know that if Whole Lotta Love, Money, or Changes were written today, they'd never make the radio. They're too far offbeat from the three-minute, 4/4 tradition of commercial pop. And dammit, that's the way I like it. If it makes Joe Gap Ad confused and uncomfortable, I'm all about that. I think that's a big part of my attraction to Tool. Their singles stay on the radio only long enough for people to scratch their heads, then they're gone, making way for the new corporate-sponsored Blink-182 joint to get the teenies' heads a-bopping. **** formulaic music. It all sounds the same because that's what the cattle will pay for.
