Am I the only one here who's had NO END of trouble with a personal site they've tried to create at Stangnet? It's bad enough the site creation tools are primative as hell, but nothing ever works there either!

I tried to activate my webmail over a year ago & STILL it doesn't work! My pictures that I post there to remote host & display here are ALWAYS cutting out. The site was down more than it was up too for the first quarter of this year. It's absolutely freaking assinine! Now they have the UNMITIGATED NERVE to try to get me to pay money for a larger version of the same crappy, unreliable site hosting!?!

Right now I'm in the process of building a new site at Tripod. They don't allow remote hosting though, so I still keep my site at SN active just for remote hosting pics. Tripod isn't the greatest either BTW...

Anyway, damned I know the hosting is free, but is it too much to expect to have the friggin site work more than it doesn't??? I won't even get started on all the blasted pop-up ads they've added either now!

I can relate to the remote web hosting, it’s not getting any easier. I might actually have to start paying for web hosting just so I can have fun on the Internet.:eek:

Disgruntled don't even begin to cover it after being jerked around about that site for over a year:mad:

I may have to as well, or build my own server... And then pay even more to have IT access the internet:rolleyes:

Although I'm a little higher up on the totem pole over at SN, I'll see what I can do about it. As far as I know, the free e-mail run by bigmailbox.com works like any other free e-mail program does... (i'll hold general comment) so its average. As for the website, that's run by freeservers.com, and that too compared to other free services is ... okay. If you have any specific problems PM them to me, otherwise, shut the **** up.

The main @stangnet.com account is working ok. It's the webmail tied to the personal sie that never got working. I'm not too worried about that anymore since I largely just use that site for remote hosting purposes.

It'd sure be nice to have my sig pis stay around for more than 2 minutes at a time though:D

you can get so many free hosting sites on the internet it's not even funny.. I don't think my first choice would be SN..

I've tried Tripod & Fortune City both as well as SN... Both use a site creation tool set called Trellix. WAY better than SN's tools, but then what ain't? LOL! ANYWAY, both of them have had some reliability problems as well. Not to mention Tripod's customer service is LITERALLY non existant:mad: I won't get into the probs there... That's a whole different thread.:)

At any rate, I'm open to suggestions on other places that are free and have easy to use site builder tools...
