Thanksgiving leaves and out with the Christmas music they come..All around the office, radio stations, every dang store I go into.. I literally will leave a store because of it.. It just gets old..I am still vomiting over it from last year..

Isn't it 'normal' to begin the Christmas season after thanksgiving?

I don't care for how the stores were putting up Christmas stuff 2 weeks before thanksgiving tho...

there is a section in walmart that rotates school supplies, halloween, thanksgiving, christmas, valentines day... not that I spend all my time in walmart.. they just don't have spaces in between..

there is nothing wrong with walmart.. there are (sometimes) hot girls there.. and nothing beats riding the bikes at 1am... yes walmart is almost depressing now, but those reasons belong in another thread..

When I worked at Lowe's I was in the seasonal dept, which meant Christmas crap. If you ever had to spend 10hrs a day for 2 months listening to Christmas music, you would be sick of it too.

Christmas music sucks...I hate to go shopping during the holiday season because of it. I am not very into christmas this year anyway because I am dead broke. I am buying very minimal and that makes me mad. I usually spoil my niece and get my parents something really good but I can't this year. There are going to be happy with their gifts and I am gonna be digging in my car for pennies for the weeks and days after that!

well yeah, christmas music tends to get old when you go to the mall all hyped up to spend some big money, and then remember.. oh yeah, I have bills... and no money..

I understand that part... I've been there the last 2 Christmas holidays myself. You can't stress over wht you can't do:( If your family and friends really care about you, the presents & commercialism should be the least important part to them:) Just remember what the season is supposed to actually be about;)

I agree. The music sucks and so does the holiday. Is that negative enough? Another tool of the Wal-Marts of the world to extract money from those that can't afford it. To make matters worse, every year the music starts a little earlier and lasts a little longer. Country music X-Mas music is the worst of all.

No one in my family ever plays X Mas music, so I don't really have an opinion on it. I guess it would suck if you grew up listening to it, but I did not. If it's in the background, I am the master of tuning things out, so I don't hear it.

I don't agree with 86dude - about Walmart extracting money from folks who can't afford it. People who don't know their ****ing spending limits are idiots. Why blame anything else?

You know, around here, I was just noticing that this year seems to be starting LATER than last year. I can remember Christmas stuff being up before Thanksgiving here last year. I haven't heard much music, either . . . relatively.

This has been pretty good, so far . . . no complaints this year.

Here, one Macy's actually had their Christmas stuff going up right before Halloween!!! (Northlake Mall for you locals:) ) Overall it's been kind of qieter than normal here as well now that Dave mentioned it.

Buggy's right about spending too, why blame somebody else (the store) bcause you have no comon sense or self discipline :rolleyes: That gets back to what I said earlier about remembering WTF the season is SUPPOSED to be about:)

i am one of those unfortunate bastards that has to work in a retail store for the entire Christmas break. I work in a Luggage and Gifts store where I have to dress up and wear a tie. In addition to attemping to convince people to buy a $525 22" piece of luggage and a $250 Mont Blanc pen, I get to listen to a 40 minute long Christmas CD that the Cross pen company sent us, on repeat for 8+ hours a day. The guy singing sounds like he just smoked a whole load of crack and decided to belt out some tunes. I swear, at the end of this holiday season I am going to be scoring a lot higher on that insanity test.
