Here (http://www.discussanything.com/forums/showthread.php?s=&threadid=24097) is the thread I started in the Issues forum about it, it's got most of what the whole thing is about. Over the next few weeks I'll keep this thread updated with the various things that are noteworthy about this project.
Go me, I'm not just sitting and talking, I'm doing something, too.

First rehearsal was last night. It was a lot of fun. I play the Chrous (part of it, at least) the Spartan Ambassador, and the Spartan Sentry. It's soooo funny. The play's storyline is basically that all the women of Greece get together and declare "NO SEX!" until their men stop making war. It works, too, which is the cool part. The men, deprived of sex, lay down their weapons so that they can have sex again.
Anyway, it's sooooo much fun. The text isn't copywrited, prob'ly because Aristophanes wrote it during the time of Ancient Greece :| So I'd suspect it's online all over the place.
Oh, also, I'm going thru the script this week and changing all the locations around Ancient Greece to places around the U.S. (i.e. the Treasury at the Akropolis becomes Ft. Knox, or the Federal Reserve Bank, maybe), to bring the point home a wee bit more.
Anyway, more updates later.
PEACE!

Pasadena City College put on a production of Lysistrata recently. Brian and I saw it last week. To say the least it was....amusing. I couldn't stop laughing with all the guys walking around with those obviously fake hard-ons. Some parts were annoying though. The singing was REALLY bad. Eh, that's what you get from a junior college production.
