Or go to www.lysistrataproject.com
The Lysistrata Project is a "World Wide Theatre Event" scheduled for March third (03/03/03) that will protest the coming "war" with Iraq. Anybody can put together a reading of the text with what's given on the site. The more people who perform, the more press it'll get and the bigger the impact it'll have.
Lystistrata is a Greek play by Aristophanes that is set to take place in 411 B.C. There are a variety of translations available.
I'm taking part in this as a member of the Chorus and possibly as the Commissioner and/or Sentry parts. It's not hard to do, the group I'm doing this with is rehearsing for the next 3 Sundays for 3 hrs. each and then we perform it. So for those of you who are anti-war and want an artistic, peaceful, organized way to express your feelings, this is most definately a choice worthy of your consideration.
Check it out.
