OK, I know we've got a few pople that are into the Sims, and I just picked up the "Hot Date" expansion pack along with the cheat book for it. Although I haven't had any real time to mess with it, I thought I'd give a quick summary/review here for any that are interested:

From what I've seen of it so far, this expansion is the best so far... Sims' motive scores decay slower in the downtown area so you can get your Sim all happy and whatever else in a shorter amount of time. The relationship systems has been overhauled too... There's now a "lifetime" relationship score and a "daily" relationship score as well. That makes for a possible fight between two Sims who are otherwise madly in love and maybe even a good day between two Sims who otherwise hate each other:D

Lots of new interactions are possible now too. Your Sim has the option of asking other Sims a handful of questions... "What are you into" is a really important one for keeping a dated Sim happy. All the non-dialog interactions are so vast now it'd be difficult at best to cover them here. Still nothing overtly sexual for all you pervs out there though, sorry:D:D

Awnings and a host of other cool things are included for designing your downtown area as well. And FINALLY you have the option of putting lights on the ceiling!!! IT'S ABOUT FRIGGIN TIME! LOL! Somebody at The Sims Resource will no doubt come up with mirrors on the ceiling now too - LOL!

If you're at all into the relationship & interaction part of The Sims as opposed to just designing houses and such, then this pack is definately a MUST HAVE! With all the possibilities now, your Sims can make the Relationship Forum look absolutely sane - LMAO!

One quick other note here re the Downtown area... Things at home stay frozen as it were, so it's even possible for your Sims to run off for a few hours and abandon that crying baby that's been running down all their motive scores. If that isn't like real life anymore, I don't know what is:rolleyes: LOL!

Yeah, trolling old posts here, but have to agree- best ExPack yet for this game.

I couldn't find any new cheats for it- have you? I have noticed that some sites like killersims have beds, showers, etc that have been tooled to use downtown so you can get some rest and clean up while 'On the town'.

Of course, to me it's just another way to kill off that annoying Moritmer Goth. Him, that Clown, and the Mime. I'v ekilled the clown a time or two - have to get him in a room where you set a fire. Mime is imortal, though. I've had him sit right in the middle of the flames and it did nothing to him. Gotta find something that'll do him in!

My trick is the sickest. Start a new scenario off and move a family into a house.

Remove all the walls.

Build a moat around the house or as much as you can afford.

Make it so that they have to get on diving boards to enter the moat, and the ladders go to the inner island.

Pretty much, the TV stays on all day, everybody gets cranky, the kids die when they're leaving for military, the fireman walks around for a while trying to find a way out, the chick cop drowns, the pizza boy may jump in with the pizza and not have it when he comes back, and your buddies Bella and Mortimer die.

The best is when your only food comes from the Grill. Have pops grill up food as often as he can. Eventually the whole place will set fire, and its great watching the retards die.

lol

The last slaughter I remember was much like that movie, the cube. I would build walls, remove them, an ever changing maze. Until they find themselves starving, able to call for pizza, but not able to get to the pizza.:D

The next add-on should be slaughter house.

Proof that Sims are mentally deficient.

Put a firework launcher in their living room.

Sit back and watch.

Morons will set it off and burn down their whole house. Great way to get rid of Mortimer. That's how I set the fire that killed the clown. Mime seems to be undead. Fire had no effect on him.

You can save a sim form death by having them sleep on the bed/couch or it in a chair. The combination of the sim and the object is immune to the fire. It may sweep past and never touch them. Odd.
