Believe it or not, I am actually from Conyers as well, from birth until I was around 26. My parents still live there, just up the road from the horse park. I live in the Marietta area now so I'm close to work.

It was a tough call between the 69 and the 'euro' (WTF?) stangs...

but nothing is as beautiful as a 69 Mach I (and I will own one).

I love my 01 dearly...but my hats off to the 69!

About two years ago, my father-in-law just finished restoring the '69 Grande he had been working on for almost a year. The thing got hit by a couple of idiot kids in a Maxima that ran a stop sign. Banged up the front end some, but nothing horrible that I saw (I AM a auto mechanic too, remember). The friggin idiot let the insurance company declare it totaled out and tow it off though. Somebody else is driving the thing around Atlanta now. One of the many reasons I have no respect for my in-laws.

As for me, I personally like the fox body hatch backs the best. Steering and suspension is better than earlier models, the 5.0 is FI at that point, with all the improvements that brings, and the cars are comparatively dirt cheap to work on or soup up:D

That 69 Grande was a VERY close second however...

Could not agree more. I'll take a '69 Boss302 though, and make that puppy Grabber Blue.
