why is it I cant place stuff behind other things in paintshop pro?

I have tried to use the wand and take out like the people, the place the "wood" behind them as a new layer, but I can never move the first selection back properly

how do you do it?

1.) Lasso
2.) Place Lumber over top
3.) Cut

Wallah!

You like that, huh :) lol

Well ... here's how I do it .... I take the wood and drop it right on top of everyone. .... I save the file as something else. I opened the original (with no wood of course) and traced around the heads ,,,, then pasted it on top of the wood (right over the faces that the wood was covering ..... then I cleaned it up a little bit (I use photoshop, bty)

does that help any?

Dude. You overcomplicate.

LOL

By lassoing, you define the cut line. Then when you drop the lumber on, you are on a different layer.... so when you hit cut... it cuts around that line. ;)
